How Obama Can Squeeze $100 Million from His Cabinet
Satire By John W. Lillpop
Barack Obama made headlines with his low-ball challenge that his cabinet cut $100 million in costs.
Isn't the president's scheme sooooooooooooooooo typically liberal?
You throw away trillions upon trillions on worthless liberal projects, then, with the help of the mainstream media, you promote yourself as a cost-cutting, frugal hero by mandating that your cabinet dig deep and cut $100 million.
It's rather like dipping an 8 ounce glass of water from the ocean and calling it significant!
More leftist double talk and transparently deceitful nonsense at a time when the nation urgently needs CHANGE from the tired, old policies of the Obama seizure.
As reported at CNN, in part:
http://www.cnn.com/2009/POLITICS/04/20/obama.cabinet.cuts/index.html?iref=mpstoryview
"President Obama on Monday gathered together every confirmed member of his Cabinet for the first time as president and challenged them to cut $100 million in the next 90 days.
"Agencies will have to report how they saved on expenses at the end of the period.
The federal government has "a confidence gap when it comes to the American people," Obama said at the White House.
"We've got to earn their trust. They've got to feel confident that their dollars are being spent wisely"
For a bloke who is said to have paid zero attention to the "Tea Parties" last week, Obama seems to have a pretty good idea of how his taxing and spending policies are playing out in mainstream America. Which is not well at all.
Unfortunately, the $100 million challenge is more of a charade than a legitimate attempt to CHANGE anything.
Were this president serious about this issue, he would challenge that band of thugs in his cabinet to go the extra mile by filing honest tax returns for the past five years!
Given the history of the Obama cabinet, that alone would pump $100 million back into the Treasury.
