What Would Jesus Say About ObamaCare?
By John W. Lillpop
One of the more peculiar arguments made by some on the left is that Jesus Christ Himself would support ObamaCare.
Peculiar, that is, because most liberals do not even believe that Jesus Christ actually lived. In fact, many take great delight in ridiculing believers who hold that Jesus was crucified and resurrected in order to atone for the sins of mankind.
Even fewer liberals believe that the Lord will return to render a final judgment and to reign over all earthly beings, including mankind.
Besides denying the divinity of Jesus, liberals are completely misinformed as to His teachings and principles.
For instance, He would surely oppose the deliberate slaughter of the unborn through abortion. Government funding of infanticide would surely be an abomination to Jesus.
End of life counseling to the elderly, including surrender to death, would be an affront to the Creator. After all, every life is His precious creation; he needs no bureaucratic "partner" to decide life and death issues.
Stealing from the rich in order to pay for abortions and death panels is another notion that simply does not make sense from a Christian perspective.
Jesus would treat every human life as special, not to be trifled with by mere mortals.
Which is why Christians are admonished to "Endure to the End" in honor of the sacred gift of life bestowed upon them by the Creator.
ObamaCare seeks to "spread the wealth" of life and death decisions from God to government agencies.
That hardly seems like a plan that Jesus would support.
