As recently as a week ago, left-wing extremists were chortling with delight as super-conservative Glenn Beck was struggling to retain sponsors for his gig on FOX news and seemed headed to ruin.
Beck had committed the unforgivable sin of telling the truth about Barack Obama's racist ranting and the left was swooping in for the kill as the lonely Mormon appeared to be all but dead.
Then a couple of funny things happened: To begin with, El Rushbo appeared on the Glenn Beck Show and the result was a huge spike in the ratings game. Instant credibility, courtesy of the man with talent of loan from God, gave Beck a bit of desperately needed breathing room.
Even better news was in the offing: Glenn sunk his teeth into a whopper of a story about a vile-mouthed communist thug named Van Jones who had been installed as one of Obama's czars in a blatant run around the Constitution and the whole idea of checks and balances in government.
Beck continued to dig and comment until his reportage and commentary struck the mother load on Sunday morning.
As reported at Breitbart.com, in part:
"WASHINGTON (AP) - President Barack Obama's adviser Van Jones has resigned amid controversy over past inflammatory statements, the White House said early Sunday.
"Jones, an administration official specializing in environmentally friendly "green jobs" with the White House Council on Environmental Quality was linked to efforts suggesting a government role in the 2001 terror attacks and to derogatory comments about Republicans.
"Fox News Channel host Glenn Beck repeatedly denounced Jones after a group the adviser co-founded, ColorofChange.org, led an advertising boycott against Beck's show to protest his claim that Obama is a racist.
him for his service."
Way to go, Glenn Beck! One down, thirty one to go!
Let this episode serve as a warning to the left and loony cheerleaders like Keith Olbermann: Don't mess with Glenn Beck!
