Are All Marxists Complete Morons?

By John W. Lillpop

It used to be preached as gospel that Marxists and radical leftists were intellectually superior to the rest of us.

Imbued with extraordinary perception and insight, Marxists, we were taught, saw and understood complex sociological and political issues that we conservatives simply could not grasp.

Mainstream media loved to compare former President Ronald Reagan to Soviet Leader Mikael Gorbachev as a perfect example of conservative cowboy versus urbane liberal intellectual.

President Reagan was, according to media, a lower intelligence chowder head who, when not endangering all of humanity with wrong headed notions from the Oval Office, was wielding a deadly ax to fell innocent, unprotected trees on his ranch in California.

Mikael Gorbachev, on the other hand, was a gifted intellectual and wise practitioner of communism, the preferred ideology among the pseudo-intellectual gangsters who ran newspapers and broadcast media in America.

Ronald Reagan called the Soviet Union the "evil empire," and challenged communist Gorbachev to "tear down this wall," the one keeping East Germans from enjoying the bounties of freedom available to people living beyond the Berlin Wall in West Germany.

Ronald Reagan committed the unforgivable sin of advocating a missile defense program to shield Americans from Soviet attacks.

The media howled in disgust at the "Star Wars" mentality of the Republican dim wit that just did not appreciate the finer points of diplomacy and talking, rather than fighting, the enemy.

Ronald Reagan's greatest failing was his outrageous, jingoistic "old school" objective: America must WIN the cold war.

Much to the chagrin of mainstream media types, leftist university professors, and communist activists throughout the Democrat Party, Ronald Reagan delivered on his objective and the Berlin Wall was torn down by fed up East Berlin residents.

All of the Soviet Union would collapse shortly thereafter, providing a huge "peace dividend" which made it possible for Bill Clinton to preside over a legacy of prosperity and peace.

Again, Ronald Reagan, not Bill Clinton, deserves credit for the economic boom and relative peace of the mid 90s.

Just a few short years and one major terrorist attack later, America has been captured by an inexperienced Marxist, a man consumed by his disdain for capitalism and American political and military dominance throughout the world.

President Barack Obama, aided and abetted by Marxists Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid and a gaggle of like-minded folks in the U.S. Congress and media, has decided to apologize for, and reverse, America's victory in the Cold War.

Which begs the question: Are All Marxists Complete Morons?
