Another Obama Lie? CBO Says Medicare WOULD Be Cut!

By John W. Lillpop

President Obama desperately needs a new czar, someone to keep track of his lies, misinformation, and propaganda concerning health care reform. This position requires an outspoken and aggressive purveyor of truth and transparency in government, with a special focus on public statements made the president.

Some one with the cojones to scream "You lie!" whenever Obama skates away from the facts.

My choice for the job: Joe Wilson of South Carolina. He definitely has the experience, and is no shrinking violet when it comes to unmasking presidential misspeak.

As reported at googlenews.com, in part, the veracity of presidential proclamations came into dispute again on Capitol Hill from a non-partisan source:

"WASHINGTON — Congress' chief budget officer is contradicting President Barack Obama's oft-stated claim that seniors wouldn't see their Medicare benefits cut under a health care overhaul.

"The head of the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office, Douglas Elmendorf, told senators Tuesday that seniors in Medicare's managed care plans would see reduced benefits under a bill in the Finance Committee.

"The bill would cut payments to the Medicare Advantage plans by more than $100 billion over 10 years.

"Elmendorf said the changes would reduce the extra benefits that would be made available to beneficiaries.

"Critics say the plans are overpaid, while supporters say they work well.
"Obama says cuts to Medicare providers won't reduce seniors' benefits."

Of course, Obama also says that his health care scheme will not cover illegal aliens or abortions, there are no death panels, and that adding forty six million uninsured folks will result in reduced costs.

He also contends that the federal deficit will not be increased by ObamaCare.

The burning question facing 300 million anxious Americans as we try to sort it all out:

Whom do you trust? A second-rate community organizer who has gone from Messiah to political pariah in just over eight months, or the man who is paid to keep the numbers straight rather than muddled?

My money is on the Elmendorf dude!
