President Obama has once again made it perfectly clear why this White House gig is just not working out. At least not for the American people.
Under Barack Obama, the national unemployment rate is close to 10 percent; the national deficit is nine trillion dollars and counting; in some quarters, the dollar is being used to line bird cages; the housing market is bracing for Phase 2 of the Great Mortgage Meltdown as millions of "Option Arm" loans are due to be reset; China and other nations who fund Obama's messes are growing weary of the mindless spending; Congress is considering ObamaCare which will another 1.3 trillion to the national debt; climate change legislation would turn the sky green, green with another couple of trillion worthless dollar bills, that is.
On top of everything else, this president wants amnesty for 20 million uneducated, non-English speaking aliens who have invaded our nation and who cost American taxpayers hundreds of billions of dollars each year.
Add the international crises in Iran, North Korea, Honduras, and Venezuela, the Israel-Palestinian juggernaut in the Middle East, and the ugly sight of quagmire from Afghanistan to Obama's plate and you have got a To Do list only a Type A could love.
Its a Type A mania festival when that Type A happens to be Barack Obama, who has decided that getting the 2016 Olympics in Chicago is an urgent priority for the President of the United States.
So much so that Obama plans to visit Denmark personally to pitch the Windy City as the best venue for the 2016 Olympics.
A cursory key word check of the United States Constitution failed to turn up a match for "President as Olympic Games Salesman for Chicago" as a vital responsibility for the individual designated as Commander-in-chief, a role that Obama has chosen to ignore in Afghanistan.
Still, there is reason for optimism and hope for 2016.
Specifically, by then Obama will have been out of elective office for at least four years assuming his is not impeached before 2012.
The economy will have recovered by then, provided the American people elect a Republican Congress in 2010, a conservative president in 2012 supported and buoyed by a conservative Congress.
And, provided that Obama's appeasement policies are nixed in time, Israel will still be a viable sovereign state in the Middle East, Iran will be nuclear-free and humbled, North Korea will be declawed.
If all goes well, America will once again be the most hated--and respected--nation in the world!
