While Barack Obama’s swat team against America works 24/7 to sabotage the rule of law in Arizona, especially SB 1070, legitimate civil rights abuses effecting real American citizens are being ignored.
In particular, lame-brained school administrators at Live Oak high school in Morgan Hill, California actually participated in the denial of free expression to five students on Cinco de Mayo day.
The five “victims,” mostly Caucasian, were kicked off campus for the unpardonable sin of displaying Old Glory on a Mexican holiday.
This excessive, gaudy show of in-your-face Americanism did not sit well with 200 or so Hispanic students who, owing to the lack of a decent Spanish-language geography curriculum in Morgan Hill, mistakenly thought they were in Mexico.
Clearly, those same 200 students have also been denied even the most rudimentary instruction about the U.S. Constitution, the Bill of rights, and the rule of law in America.
Despite the unprofessional and unethical behavior of the Hispanic vice principal that caused the five students to be sent home unjustly, better minds eventually prevailed as evidenced by the following statement from Superintendent Wesley Smith:
Good evening. This is Dr. Wesley Smith, Superintendent of the Morgan Hill Unified School District. The Morgan Hill Unified School District does not prohibit nor do we discourage wearing patriotic clothing. The incident on May 5 at Live Oak High School is extremely unfortunate. While campus safety is our primary concern and administrators made decisions yesterday in an attempt to ensure campus safety, students should not, and will not, be disciplined for wearing patriotic clothing. This situation and our response are under review.
We know that this is an emotionally charged topic. We would ask you to encourage your students to be safe and focus on their academics while in school. If conversations and/or activities are necessary to express their feelings on this issue, we will find appropriate venues that do not disturb student learning or jeopardize the safety of our students. Furthermore, we encourage everyone to demonstrate respect for each other, open communication, and responsibility.
Thank you for your support and understanding.
Dr. Wesley Smith
Superintendent
Well done, and bravo, Dr. Smith!
It is reassuring to know that the entire educational system of Morgan Hill is not stuck in the quagmire of anti-American radicalism and racism!
One point, however: Have you ordered “sensitivity” training for the morons who perpetrated this national embarrassment?
That would make sense for both the administrators AND the 200 students who need to understand that the US Constitution and Bill of Rights are ALWAYS in full force and effect—even on foreign holidays like Cinco de Mayo!
By the way, with all of the confusion and turmoil, we have yet to hear from our dithering president, The One, who ushered in the era of “post partisan” politics.
What say ye, Mr. President?
Why has this civil rights outrage not caused you to dispatch your civil rights swat team, Erick Holder and Janet Napolitano, to the scene?
