Obama’s Dithering Dilemma: Gulf or Golf?

By John W. Lillpop

President Obama is suffering through yet another on-the-job learning experience, the title of which is, “Things at the top are not all roses.”

Consider one of the more vexing dilemmas facing The One these days:

An unsightly oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico is turning beaches in Louisiana to BP theme parks, while driving Bam’s approval numbers down precariously close to those achieved by W., with help from the mainstream media

Mind you, Obama did try to act decisively to fix another mess inherited from W., this time with an Executive Order that demanded that BP and his own government “Plug the damned hole!”

What leadership! What brilliance! What great and inspiring oratory!

In reality, what more can be expected from a community organizer who has never been held responsible for anything in his entire life?

Besides, it is the Gulf of Mexico, why not let Felipe Calderon deal with it?

Notwithstanding the pressing issues of the day, Obama continues to make time for the mundane and the meaningless.

As reported at ABCnews.com, in part, at reference 1:

“This morning, President Obama will meet with the NCAA men’s basketball champion Duke Blue Devils at the White House to honor their 2009-2010 championship season in the Rose Garden.

“Keeping up the sports theme, the president and the vice president will take a photo with the U.S. World Cup soccer team and former President Bill Clinton, who is chairing the 2018 World Cup bid, on the North Portico. The White House has previously announced that Vice President Biden and Jill Biden will attend the World Cup in South Africa next month.

“Afterward, the president will a private have lunch with President Clinton in the Private Dining Room.

“Afterward, in the evening, the First Family will travel to Chicago, Illinois for a four-day Memorial Day weekend vacation. The Obamas have not been back to their hometown all together as a family for more than a year.”

Good for you, Mr. President!

You and the Mrs. deserve a break from the non-stop pressure of being elitist Marxists on a mission to destroy America! All that CHANGE would wear anyone out.

The burning question: Which has greater priority in the life of President Barack Obama: The Gulf oil crisis or a round of Golf?
