President Calderon Meddles in U.S. Affairs While Mexico Sinks Closer to the Abyss
By John W. Lillpop
While Mexico’s President Felipe Calderon wastes his time lecturing the U.S. Congress about the evils of Arizona’s plans to defend American citizens, things continue to unravel in his third-world, failed state.
As reported at reference 1, in part:
“Mexican gunmen killed 10 police officers and injured several more in Michoacan state while 28 prisoners were killed in a jail in Sinaloa state.
Federal police forces are conducting ground and air searches for the perpetrators of the attack on the officers in the city of Zitacuaro, the Public Security Ministry said in a statement. The police were traveling from Michoacan state toward Mexico City when their convoy was ambushed, it said.
Hours after that incident, 28 inmates were killed in a prison riot in the city of Mazatlan, said Martin Gastelum, spokesman for the attorney general’s office in Sinaloa state. Two police officers were wounded, he said.
Violence in the region is reaching new highs, causing residents of cities such as Ciudad Juarez, which borders El Paso, to abandon their homes and their cities, said Tony Payan, a political science professor at the University of Texas at El Paso. About 25 percent of homes in Ciudad Juarez are abandoned, Payan said today in a telephone interview.”
Given the deaths and mayhem in Mexico, just why is it that Calderon allows himself to get so annoyed by an innocuous law in Arizona that simply authorizes law enforcement officials to question those suspected of being in America illegally?
Why is el presidente` concerning himself with the rule of law in Arizona while Mexican police are being gunned down in cold blood?
An appropriate message to Felipe Calderon would be as follows:
Dear President Calderon:
Given the out of control killing and mayhem taking place in your beloved Mexico, may we suggest that you tend to Mexico’s problems with the greatest urgency?
We know that your time is precious, Mr. President, so we recommend that you abandon your obsession with meddling in American affairs that are, frankly, none of your business!
Believe it or not, we are quite capable of managing on our own, without interference from a foreign leader whose nation is on the verge of civil war and further decline into third-world mendacity!
In simple English, Mr. President, America neither needs nor wants your meddling in our affairs.
Instead we urge you to spend your time and energy in keeping Mexican police and citizens safe.
And, above all else, keep them in Mexico!
Gracias!
Gringo John
