Once again, America’s 44th president and worst-ever electoral miscue has ruptured the incredulity index with another egregious example of “acting stupidly” while in power.
Less than a month ago, the president visited the Great Wall of China and made it clear that spending too much money put the United States on a trajectory toward a double-dip recession.
As reported at signonsandiego.com, in part: (1)
“BEIJING — President Barack Obama says he's worried that spending too much money to help revive the economy could undermine a fragile U.S. recovery and throw the economy into a double-dip recession.
“That's when the economy begins to recover briefly from a recession only to be dragged back under. Obama told Fox News in an interview Wednesday that his administration is weighing tax breaks that could encourage businesses to begin hiring again.
“But he added that it's important to recognize that if the nation keeps adding to deficit spending through tax cuts or more stimulus spending, at some point people could lose confidence in the U.S. economy and that could ‘lead to a double-dip recession.’”
Hmm. For a fleeting moment, it appeared as though the One had finally come to grips with a dreary economic reality.
But perhaps all that talk was for the benefit of the new owners of the US of A, namely, the nation of China?
How else to explain the fact that, less than three weeks later, President Obama has relapsed into to the manic spending disorder so common among reckless liberals?
As reported today at brietbart.com, in part: (2)
“WASHINGTON (AP) - President Barack Obama outlined new multibillion-dollar stimulus and jobs proposals Tuesday, saying the nation must continue to "spend our way out of this recession" until more Americans are back at work.”
Which is it, Mr. President? Deficit reduction or spend, spend, spend according to the liberal suicide play book?
Is it sheer coincidence that this comes to the fore on the very day when Obama’s poll numbers dipped to 47 percent, the lowest of any president at this point in office?
As mid-term elections draw closer, Obama seems increasingly distracted by fears of being relegated to lame luck status next November, when the people are likely to give the electoral heave-ho to Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and other liberal knot heads that have facilitated Obama’s assault on America.
As if Obama’s foolsihness about the economy is not bad enough, word has it that this administration had planned to make Christmas at the White House a “non-religious” experience this year.
As reported at World Net Daily.com, in part:
"The Obama administration sought to ban baby Jesus from the executive mansion as part of its plans for a "non-religious Christmas," according to a participant at a White House luncheon.
"In its Dec. 4 issue, the New York Times published an article highlighting accomplishments of Desirée Rogers, the new White House social secretary.
"Rogers, a woman who markets what she refers to as the "Obama brand," is responsible for every event that takes place in the White House.
"Her job is to carry out the vision of the president and first lady, and to make their social events reflect their sensibilities," the Times reported.
"As part of that mission, a participant at a White House luncheon for former social secretaries said Rogers announced that the Obamas were planning a "non-religious Christmas."
"The participant said Rogers announced the president "did not intend to put the manger scene on display – a remark that drew an audible gasp from the tight-knit social secretary sisterhood," the Times reported.
"However, the newspaper notes that "tradition won out," as the crèche is now in its usual East Room location."
Obama planned to celebrate Christmas as a “non-religious” event? Good heavens, can there be a more poignant illustration of this man's detachment from mainstream America?
