Romney’s “You Didn’t Build That” Ad Defrosts The Cool One!

By John W. Lillpop

Besides being a self-anointed Messiah, the self-declared Smartest Man in the world, and possessor of hundreds of other super-human attributes, Barack Hussein Obama was supposed to be as cool as a cucumber, unflappable, level headed, and powered by raw intelligence rather than raw emotion.

He was, according to himself, perfect for the job of Commander-in-Chief where steely nerves and a cast-iron stomach are a must, especially when one is confronted by evil Tea Party members and their advocates in the US House.

Tea Party thugs, those scalawag rebels who disrupt the orderly affairs of One’s Kingdom by insisting on spending constraint, frugality, and other outlandish proposals, perhaps suitable for the poor, unwashed under classes, but which have no place whatsoever in a Progressive Monarchy-Tyranny run by an ego-maniac.

Over the past four years The One has been exposed as quite sensitive to criticism and opposition, not quite the cool character described in his self-authored biographical blurbs.

When it comes to unraveling the president and exposing his not-so-cool persona, Republican Mitt Romney appears to have hit a raw nerve (and gold mine!) with his attack ads which take Obama to task for his foolish “You Did Not Build That” idiocy.

As reported, in part, at the reference:

SEATTLE – President Barack Obama said Tuesday that he's losing his patience over the Republican attacks aimed at his “you didn’t build that” comment.

“I have to tell you, I generally have patience with what the other side says about me, that’s a requirement of this job,” Obama said during a $5,000-per-plate fundraiser here, according to the pool report.

“And if you don’t like folks talking about you, you probably shouldn’t run for president. The one thing I do have no patience for is this argument that somehow what I’m criticizing is success… I want to promote success," Obama said.

Obama's campaign and the Democratic National Committee are trying to get past the remark that has become a center piece of Mitt Romney's stump speech that the administration considers government the only way for individual success in the private sector. Earlier Tuesday, Obama launched an ad campaign in six swing states with the president speaking directly into a camera to explain himself and argue that Romney has taken his words out of context. Obama also swung at Romney Monday in Oakland during his first public remarks in a campaign since the Colorado shooting.
work and individual initiative,” Obama said.

“We’re going to reward risk and entrepreneurship. People are going to have to sweat and sacrifice for their success. But there are some things that we’re also going to do together to make sure that everyone has success. Not everyone’s going to succeed, but everyone’s going to have a shot at success,” the president said.

“So we want success,” Obama added. “We just want to make sure that everybody has a shot. That’s what we’re fighting for, that’s what is at stake in this election."

Again, Obama’s own words haunt him.

For example, his statement, “We’re going to reward risk and entrepreneurship,” is precisely the sort of arrogant, government knows all nonsense that has this nation on the cusp of a 2nd recession!

OBAMA DOES NOT UNDERSTAND THAT PRIVATE ENTERPRISE DOES NOT NEED GOVERNMENT TO REWARD ANYTHING!

Just stay out of the way, Mr. President, and private sector leaders will thrive and prosper, as will the people they employ.

Kudos to the Romney team for hitting pay dirt with the “You Did Not Build That” ad!

Keep it up and ride that baby all the way to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, Governor!
