President Obama has chosen FORWARD as his campaign theme for the 2012 election.
The idea is to contrast futurist, modern thinking within the Democrat Party to the “old school” stuck-in-the-past relics offered by conservative Republicans, particularly the obsession with costly foreign wars and failed economic policies for which President George W. Bush is so notorious.
Failed Bush policies, which four years later, still have America in deep recession and broke, despite a trillion-dollar stimulus and tons of Marxist CHANGE, but precious little HOPE!
So, is FORWARD! still the Obama clarion cry?
If so, how weird is it that President Obama has been forced to reach way back into history for help from none other than William Jefferson Clinton, former U.S. president and the last Commander-in-Chief to be impeached for high crimes and misdemeanors while in office?
As reported at the reference:
The up-and-down relationship between President Obama and Democratic predecessor Bill Clinton is back on the upswing. The danger, of course, is that Bill Clinton will remind voters of just how incompetent and dismally ineffective Obama has been over the past four years!
Clinton is getting a prime time speaking slot at the convention that renominates Obama in early September -- it's part of the current president's plan to promote his economic policy with the help of a predecessor who presided over a boom economy in the 1990s.
"President Clinton oversaw the longest economic expansion in U.S. history, pursuing many of the same policies that President Obama is proposing and implementing today," said Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, who chairs the Democratic convention to be held Sept. 3-6 in Charlotte.”
Voters may also legitimately ask, “If FORWARD is the way to go, Why Is Obama going BACK to the last Century for Help?”
After all, Bill Clinton is sooooooooo 20th Century.
Voters may also wonder, "When will Obama mature to the point where he can stand on his own two feet? Will he ever be able to handle the presidency with skill and ability and without blaming W. Bush and using Clinton as a crutch?"
