Love him or hate him, one must concede that Governor Chris Christie handled his Bridge-gate press conference with dignity, humility, and professionalism, all worthy of emulation by the man who resides at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
For style alone, the Governor was heads and shoulders above the petulant, defiant, and defensive posture taken by Barack Obama on the many occasions when he has had to address serious concerns of flawed governance at the national level.
Unlike Barack Obama, the Governor seemed genuinely contrite. He did not, for the most part, deny the facts, or try to diminish the severity of mistakes with foolish, self-serving arguments.
Unlike Barack, the Governor seems to have manned up and taken responsibility, while also taking tough corrective action which cost a top administrator her job.
Many questions will continue to be asked, but at least Gov. Christie appears to have tackled this mess with integrity, rather than partisan paranoia.
Are you listening, Barack?
