Presidential Lecture on “Compromise” Ignored, Including by The One Himself!

By John W. Lillpop

With just one week remaining before Barack Obama turns 50, the president is finding his sphere of influence significantly reduced, especially in the debate over raising the debt ceiling.

Seems like just yesterday that this pompous elitist was playing out his role as the “adult in the room” by urging the disparate parties to “do the right thing” and compromise for the greater good.

More soaring rhetoric from the silver-tongued community organizer from Kenya who has yet to produce a deficit plan that can be scored by anyone, much less the CBO.

Just how effective was Obama’s impassioned plea?

Well, just hours after his lecture on the value of compromise, The One announced that he would veto the John Boehner plan being concocted in the U.S. House.

Way to show the spirit of compromise, BHO! Terrific example for other combatants in this urgent war on debt and spending excesses!

Following the Obama lead, 53 Senate Democrats took time from their busy schedules to send a missive to Speaker Boehner the essence of which was:

Dear Speaker:

We hear you may be close to passing a viscous deficit-reduction plan in the House that will essentially wipe out what remains of the American middle class.

Just for the record, should that sad eventuality ensue, we are unanimous in telling you this: Get stuffed! The Boehner is DOA!”

Once again, Barack Obama’s skill at making things worse continues to amaze!
