Harry Reid: Gifted at “Tabling,” Not So Good at “Passing”

By John W. Lillpop

When it comes to being a dangerous obstructionist, Harry Reid is without peer, as he proved once again by “tabling” the latest Boehner bill to address the debt-ceiling crisis just two hours after the House passed the measure.

Thus, for the second time in just a matter of days, the Harry-ied one has tabled a legitimate bill that passed the U.S House of Representatives, including Cut, Cap, and Balance, which won with support from five Democrats.

Reid and other moon bats (such as Nanny Pelosi) have complained that the U.S. House wasted valuable time by passing two bills doomed to failure.

Which brings up an interesting question: “Instead of standing by idly while all that time was being wasted, why did the Harry-ied one not put his “Plan” to the Senate floor for a vote?”

Doing so could have saved loads of time in the unlikely event that (perish the thought!), the revised Boehner passed and was sent to the Senate for compromise reconciliation.

So why did Harry Reid sit on his thumbs all last week with the default clock ticking away?

Because, dear patriot, Harry Reid knew that his bill would not pass the U.S. Senate! Period.

Which left the hysterical Reid hoping and wishing that the Boehner bill would crash and burn, leaving only the Reid bill standing.

Sorry, Harry! With passage of the Boehner bill, the ball is in your court. Again.

The burning question: Is Harry Reid capable of “passing” anything? After all, for more than 800 days, this fellow has been unable to pass a budget through the Senate!
