Perhaps those in charge of awarding Nobel prizes are not quite the diversity freaks we supposed after their gratuitous gift to Barack Obama for his Eleven Days of Peace, which also happened to be his first eleven days in office.
As reported by MSNBC, in part, the Nobel Prize for Economics was awarded to two white Americans who were actually accomplished in their field:
"WASHINGTON, Oct. 12 (Xinhua) -- This year's Nobel Economics Prize, given to two American scholars who have made great contributions to the new institutional economics (NIE), is more a merit of the past, said a Washington economist on Monday.
"Elinor Ostrom, 76, a political scientist at Indiana University, became the first woman to win a Nobel Prize in economics, honored along with fellow American Oliver Williamson, 77, from University of California Berkeley for analyzing economic governance -- the rules by which people exercise authority in companies and economic systems.
"Both are considered masters for the influential new institutional economics during the past several decades, with their books being the must-read for students in this field."
White House officials blamed the Obama snub on conservatives anxious to sabotage ObamaCare. They pointed out that the winners are lily-white old timers, aged 76 and 77, typical of the extremists that disrupted free speech at Town Hall meetings this past summer.
Obama worshippers contend that the president deserved the Nobel Economic Prize based on the following:
*He promised to create 3.5 -4.0 million jobs with the highly acclaimed "Obama Stimulus"
*He promised that unemployment would not rise above eight percent
*He promised to slash billions from the national debt by reforming health care, including his breath-taking plan to cut costs by adding 46 million uninsured to the mix
*He promised to end the worldwide depression and save the American economy
With that record of outstanding economic promises to his credit, Barack Obama should be adding the Nobel Economics Prize to his trophy case alongside the Nobel Peace Prize and the ACORN 2008 man of the year award.
Regrettably, racism, and a smidgen of anti-youth bias, are preventing Obama from owning all things Nobel and good.
Undeterred by this minor set back and ever alert to opportunities for reducing unemployment, the president has joined the fray concerning Rush Limbaugh's bid to make millionaire slaves out of African Americans who play football for the St. Louis Rams.
Obama did so by announcing a new Media czar whose primary role will be to sabotage any attempt by Limbaugh to enslave innocent black men who weigh over 350 pounds and who are defenseless against conservative talk show hosts.
The Media Czar will also investigate Glenn Beck, FOX News, and other radical right-wing extremists.
Majority Leader Harry Reid and New Jersey Governor Jon Corzine, both at risk for unemployment, are rumored to be on Obama's short list for the new czarship.
Sources close to the president claim that the president has not ruled out seizing the National Football League as a means for stopping El Rushbo.
