Is Martyrdom Obama's Only Hope?

The question may seem absurd at first blush. But think about it.

Obama's grand scheme to convert America into a socialist state where government runs the economic order and spreads the wealth as it deems appropriate is not taking.

His communization of health care, the automobile industry, and the banking sector has either not been legislated or has been a dismal failure when tried.

Close to a trillion dollars of taxpayer money has been spent, or is in the process of being spent, to stimulate the economy and create jobs, business actions which government bureaucrats are woefully unqualified to even attempt.

Other programs involving trillions more are being schemed and hatched in secret meetings on Capitol Hill, open only to Democrats. Transparency is but a sham.

While Democrats spend with reckless abandon in the name of economic recovery, unemployment and the national debt, twin omens of economic disaster, continue to rise precipitously.

The dollar is crashing and our creditor nations, like Communist China, are warning of dire circumstances if spending is not contained.

Obama's ventures into foreign policy are just as calamitous because of his naive mindset, which holds that there are no evil people in the world, save American conservatives and FOXNEWS, especially Glenn Beck.

That attitude and Obama's inability to act decisively on Afghanistan only serve to convince the likes of Iran, North Korea, and Russia that America's new leader is weak and befuddled.

Other than winning a Nobel Peace Prize for eleven days of spiffy service in office and months of high-minded rhetoric, nothing Obama has tried has worked.

Nothing.

Which breaks up the whole issue of martyrdom.

Obviously, no sane person wishes the president, even one as dreadful as Obama, to suffer physical harm. Most Americans will not even allow the "A" word to cross their conscious minds, so dreadful are the memories from the sixties.

Still, one must wonder: Has Barack Obama concluded that his personal Martyrdom is the only way that the coveted Obama legacy can be assured? Does he see himself as a natural successor to the likes of John Fitzgerald Kennedy, Bobby Kennedy, and Martin Luther King?

Unfortunately, there are psychopaths running loose in our society who are hateful and sick enough to consider violence a practical solution.

There are others who would never participate in violence themselves, but who might not weep uncontrollably if foul play visited America's president.

To the later, be careful what you pray for. Every ill-conceived communist notion ever touted by President Obama would become instant law in the event of his demise through violence.

Thinking Americans must pray fervently that the Secret Service and other law enforcement authorities continue to keep President Obama free from harm, safe and sound.
