Chinese Activist Chen Appeals to Obama for Help: Good Luck with That In Election Year!

By John W. Lillpop

As reported at the reference, the heartbreaking story of the blind Chinese dissident has gotten even more dreadful:
CHINESE dissident Chen Guangcheng's departure from Beijing's US embassy took a new twist today when he said he regrets leaving and now wants American officials to help transfer him and his family to the US.

Mr. Chen's version of events in a telephone conversation with CNN from his hospital room partly contradicted the one put forward earlier Wednesday by US officials, who said he left the embassy "of his volition" and that they were not aware of any reprisal threats against his family.
The differing claims over Mr. Chen's motivation for leaving his sanctuary once again threatened to derail high level talks today between US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Chinese officials.

It also indicated how easily the apparent resolution to Mr. Chen's situation could potentially start to unravel.

In his conversation with CNN, the blind activist said, "We are in danger. If you can talk to Hillary, I hope she can help my whole family leave China."

US officials had previously said Mr. Chen made no appeal for political asylum and indicated he planned to stay in China.

He also said his wife had been badly treated after his escape from house arrest April 22.

"She was tied to a chair by police for two days," he told CNN. "Then they carried thick sticks to our house, threatening to beat her to death."

Mr. Chen added he was told that, had he not left the embassy, "they would send her back (to the family's village in Shandong province), and people there would beat her."

Mr. Chen also told CNN he did not fully grasp what he was facing when he agreed to leave the embassy.

"At the time, I didn't have a lot of information," he said. "I couldn't keep up with news, so I didn't know a lot of things that were happening."

He said he was "very disappointed" in the US Government and felt "a little" that he had been lied to by the embassy.”

With all due respect, Mr. Chen, Now IS NOT the time to be seeking humanitarian help from Barack Obama, unless you are an illegal alien who speaks fluent Spanish and  no English and are willling to vote in November!

You see, Mr. Obama is not really functioning as president these days. He is in campaign mode, seeking to inflict another four years of misery on the American people.

Thus, Obama spends most of his time pandering to illegal aliens from Mexico when he is not picking pockets at a fund raiser that is. No time for anything, unless it is directly related to his reelection!

A possible solution: Change your name from Chen to Lopez and claim to be blind and dumb.
