How blessed they are, the people of San Francisco!
With problems like crime, drugs, budget shortfalls, crumbling infrastructure, and failing schools apparently solved here, the good people of this liberal nut house can focus on really important issues of grave concern to all of mankind.
In the mind of San Francisco activist Lloyd Schofield, preventing the practice of circumcision is just such a cause.
Which is why Schofield is proposing a ballot measure that would ban circumcision in the City, according to the San Francisco Examiner.
If passed by voters next year, Schofield’s measure would change San Francisco's police code “to make it a misdemeanor to circumcise, excise, cut or mutilate the foreskin, testicle or penis of another person who has not attained the age of 18.”
Asked to comment on the proposed change, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi quipped, “Well, I don’t really know, although you could say its no skin off my nose.”
And so it is, as The City drifts further and further into the abyss of liberal insanity!
