An Appropriate “Sentence” for Charles Rangel

By John W. Lillpop

The ongoing saga of Charles Rangel versus the American people, the IRS, the U.S. House, basic human decency, and even God is set to culminate on Thursday as the House Ethics Committee will hold a hearing to consider an appropriate sentence for the rotund tax cheat and convicted violator of House ethics rules on 11 occasions.

Once again, if he chooses to, Rangel with have the opportunity to stand before the Committee with C-Span cameras rolling and protest the savage unfairness of being forced to comply with the tax code and other rules which pertain to representatives in the Pelosi “corruption free” House.

Thus, another several hours of perfectly good C-Span prime time will be wasted on a barrage of ranting and raving from a fringe lunatic who should have been removed from Congress years ago, and who is the post child for corruption and bad government.

Why waste hours of time on a silly hearing for a man whose time long ago passed?

Ethics committee chairman, Democratic Rep. Zoe Lofgren of California should expedite the process and pass sentence with five simple words:

Get the hell out, Charlie!
