Obama Braggadocio about Iraq: Another Failure!

By John W. Lillpop

He began his disastrous term as U.S. president by ordering the closure of GITMO. Thankfully, that order has never been carried out.

He then forced passage of a trillion-dollar stimulus bill which he promised would create and or save 3.5 to 4 million jobs, keep unemployment under 8 percent and save the American economy.
Those promises never materialized, unemployment is still a disgrace, and the economy is in the grips of an Obama-double-dip recession.

He escalated the war in Afghanistan, the so-called “right” war, but has failed to provide even a semblance of leadership for winning there. American mothers and fathers with sons and daughters in Afghanistan need to know that their offspring, although in the military by choice, are being commanded by a rank, anti-American amateur whose sole objective is to get the troops home in time to shore up his ratings in time for the 2012 presidential elections.
Should your son or daughter suffer injury or worse, the man running the show is all about winning—reelection, that is.

He has declared all-out war on American business, the engine of prosperity and the only entity that creates real jobs. When that and the ill-conceived stimulus notion devastate the economy, he seeks even more billions in economic aid.

On and on it goes, this president has failed the American people early every time he has become involved.

Obama’s latest failure was his disgusting self-congratulation about ending the war in Iraq.

As reported at Myway.com, in part:

“BAGHDAD (AP) - Days after the U.S. officially ended combat operations and touted Iraq's ability to defend itself, American troops found themselves battling heavily armed militants assaulting an Iraqi military headquarters in the center of Baghdad on Sunday. The fighting killed 12 people and wounded dozens.

“It was the first exchange of fire involving U.S. troops in Baghdad since the Aug. 31 deadline for formally ending the combat mission, and it showed that American troops remaining in the country are still being drawn into the fighting.

“The attack also made plain the kind of lapses in security that have left Iraqis wary of the U.S. drawdown and distrustful of the ability of Iraqi forces now taking up ultimate responsibility for protecting the country.

“Sunday's hour-long assault was the second in as many weeks on the facility, the headquarters for the Iraqi Army's 11th Division, pointing to the failure of Iraqi forces to plug even the most obvious holes in their security.”

Combat over, Mr. President?

Is there nothing this man can do right?

How about a “resignation” speech, Mr. President?
