Best for America: “Guard the Change” or “Change the Guard”?
By John W. Lillpop
Light and wisdom have finally visited the soul of Colin Powell, former Secretary of State and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Powell is the RINO who endorsed Barack Obama for the presidency, an act which had nothing whatsoever to do with race, according to the general
Powell’s enlightenment is somewhat muted by the fact the he believes that Obama “has lost the touch.”
What touch, General?
Anyone listening seriously to what Obama has been saying since 2007 knows that Obama never has had, and will never have, any touch other than a great passion to prove that American exceptionalism is a myth.
Obama is truly an anti-American radical whose rise to power is proof positive that American exceptionalism is non-existent---among Democrats.
The president’s denial continues abated despite his pathetic poll numbers and the looming thrashing Democrats are likely to suffer come November. Still, Obama believes that the Change he was brought is worth guarding.
As reported at Yahoo.com, in part:
“WASHINGTON (Reuters) – President Barack Obama, seeking to fire up an important part of his support base ahead of November's elections, told black leaders on Saturday he wanted their support to "guard the change" he was delivering.
‘I need everybody here to go back to your neighborhoods, and your workplaces, to your churches, and barbershops, and beauty shops. Tell them we have more work to do. Tell them we can't wait to organize. Tell them that the time for action is now,’ he told the Congressional Black Caucus.
“The words of America's first black president showed a deliberate effort to recapture the enthusiasm that had helped him win the White House in 2008, after polls showed African- Americans much less likely to vote than whites this year.”
With all due respect, Mr. President, the American people appear more inclined to “Change the Guard” than to guard the disastrous change that you have wrought!
