Over the past 28 months, President Obama has made it a habit of routinely talking down to the American people with such intense arrogance, aloofness, and self-absorption as to be insufferable.

It’s as though this president regards himself as a tenured professor of such immense genius that he feels justified in looking down his nose while lecturing the masses, otherwise known as We the People.

After being talked down to for over two years, this citizen confesses to celebrating, if ever so slightly, the home schooling of President Obama by Benjamin Netanyahu as reported in part at the reference:

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu bluntly told President Barack Obama on Friday his vision of how to achieve Middle East peace was unrealistic, exposing a deep divide that could doom any U.S. bid to revive peace talks.

In an unusually sharp rebuke to Israel's closest ally, Netanyahu insisted Israel would never pull back to its 1967 borders -- which would mean big concessions of occupied land -- that Obama had said should be the basis for negotiations on creating a Palestinian state.

"Peace based on illusions will crash eventually on the rocks of Middle East reality," an unsmiling Netanyahu said as Obama listened intently beside him in the Oval Office after they met for talks.”

Especially fine was the “Peace based on illusions will crash eventually on the rocks of Middle East reality” line fired by Bibi, which demonstrates that the Israeli leader has a clue as to the naivete and immaturity of The One.

Yes, yes, I know. Netanyahu WAS disrespectful, or damn close to it.

And yes, it was painful and embarrassing to watch an American president, even a lousy one, pummeled by a foreign leader while on American soil.

Still, seeing President Obama dressed down with words in a forthright, blunt fashion sent a “thrill up my leg” if only very briefly.

Clearly, Barack Obama needs plenty of lectures from folks like Netanyahu to sort out the president’s priorities.
