Differences Between Barack Obama & Richard Nixon: Nixon NOT a Communist, Did NOT Have Drones!

Reporter Bob Woodward’s recent tete-a-tetes with the Obama administration stir unsettling memories from 40 years ago when then-President Nixon was desperately seeking to keep his Watergate crimes, and the cover up of same, from the national media, including Washington Post reporters Woodward and Carl Bernstein.

Although Obama and Nixon are diametrically opposite in many ways, (party affiliation and ideological bent), the two share many unflattering similarities.

Both are or were:

Lawyers who regard the law as a legitimate means for sustaining tyranny, rather than as a tool for finding truth and bringing about justice;

Skilled at using lies and distortion to support spurious ideological premises, and to unfairly tarnish political enemies;

Dangerously paranoid;

Obsessively secretive and non-transparent;

Not above using “Enemy Lists” to track debts of revenge owed to adversaries.

Woodward’s revelation that he was “threatened” by the White House sounds eerily Nixonian and brings to mind Nixon’s use of the IRS and other government agencies against those with the temerity to oppose his tyranny.

As reported at the reference, Woodward really sounds frightened:

Bob Woodward said this evening on CNN that a "very senior person" at the White House warned him in an email that he would "regret doing this," the same day he has continued to slam President Barack Obama over the looming forced cuts known as the sequester.

"It makes me very uncomfortable to have the White House telling reporters, 'You're going to regret doing something that you believe in,'" Woodward said.”

On the other hand, there ARE major differences between Barack Obama and Richard Nixon: although that listed below does not tend to reassure the wary:

Richard Nixon, though a despicable and corrupt politician, was NOT a communist and did NOT have access to drones!

Maybe Tricky Dick was not so bad after all?

An Intelligent Way to Address Sequester, Deficit Crises: Deport Illegal Aliens!

Economic Armageddon is forecast to decimate America on March 1, this coming Friday. Its called sequestration, and President Obama, father in denial of the phenomenon, along with duly- elected members of Congress, are all in a bloody dither at the very thought of reduced federal spending.

Or, reducing the growth in spending to be more exact!

Amazingly, Obama and Congress act as though sequestration is is a newly discovered peril, unknown to the best and brightest until last week! Like the god-awful meteorite that ripped into Russia, sequestration is, according to our delusional politicians, a complete surprise that catches us all unprepared.

The inconvenient truth is that this end of times event is a bloody can of worms that has been kicked down the road so often that the worms have evolved into deadly cobra snakes with the capacity to undo civilized society as we know it.

Even more outrageous, is the fact that this latest money mess, is all about the munificent sum of $85 billion dollars.

While it is true that $85 billion dollars IS a lot of money, consider this: Barack Obama’s reckless disregard for financial common sense results in an annual deficit of approximately $1.2 trillion dollars, or about $100 billion a month—no small amount of red-ink!

In other words, the $85 billion savings that would accrue as a result of imposing the sequester would be gobbled up, and then some, in one month by Obama’s feckless spending orgy.

Budget deficits generated during the other 11 months would simply be added to the $16.5 trillion dollar revolving credit account that Obama has with the Chinese! In the name of your grand-children and their grand-children!

Still, Obama and Congress blame Europe, GW Bush, the Japanese earthquake and tsunami, and each other for the bankruptcy of the American dream. No one is at fault, and no one will be held responsible.

Ignoring the American people, it’s a “win-win” for Obama and the Congress!

Given the chaotic state of the nation’s finances, one wonders why it has not dawned on one, or more, of the elitist intellectuals in whom the American treasury is entrusted to take note of the fact that America shells out more than $100 billion per year (after taxes) to support illegal aliens.

Invading criminals who should not even be here cost American taxpayers more than $100 billion a year! HELLO!

The report, The Fiscal Burden of Illegal Immigration on U.S. Taxpayers, is the most comprehensive analysis of how much the estimated 13 million illegal aliens and their U.S.-born children cost federal, state and local governments.

The cost estimates are based on an extensive analysis of federal, state and local spending data. The Fiscal Burden of Illegal Immigration on U.S. Taxpayers examines dozens of government programs that are available to illegal aliens and their U.S.-born children, both legally and fraudulently. The report provides detailed analysis of the impact of illegal immigration on education, health care, law enforcement and justice, public assistance, and other government programs.

The report also accounts for taxes paid by illegal aliens about $13 billion a year, resulting in a net cost to taxpayers of about $100 billion. However, the study notes that government at all levels would likely have realized significantly greater revenues if jobs held by illegal aliens had been filled by legal U.S. residents instead.”

How in the world can any elected official, including The One, who claims to be interested in fiscal responsibility blatantly ignore the savings that could be realized by enforcing existing laws and deporting illegal aliens?

Instead, Congress and the President are engaged in a frantic foot race to see who can get credit for bringing approximately 11 million illegal aliens out from the shadows in order to compete for American jobs and otherwise befoul our wretched economy even further!

Stupidity on steroids: Importing illiteracy and poverty!

In their haste to dole out a trillion dollars to fund liberal pet projects in the name of stimulating the battered economy in 2009, the Democrat-controlled Congress and President Obama failed to address a major domestic crisis that threatens America's homeland security, unemployment crisis, social order, and cultural heritage, and which costs taxpayers hundreds of billions of dollars each year.

That would be the unchecked invasion of our sovereign land by scores of millions of illegal aliens, mostly from the failed state of Mexico, is ignored and even countenanced by wrong-minded liberal policies. 

Ironically, many of the current social concerns that have liberals wringing their hands could be mitigated, at least partially, by aggressively working to solve the illegal aliens mess.
Concerned about education and overcrowded class rooms?

Removing 11 million invaders would reduce class sizes dramatically, and improve the quality of instruction by weeding out illegals unable to keep up because of language and cultural barriers.

Concerned about overcrowded prisons and jails and the need to spend hundreds of billions to erect even more?

Approximately 30 percent of all inmates are illegal aliens, people who should not even be here to begin with.

Concerned about run away health care costs and the tens of millions whom are uninsured?

Nearly all illegal aliens are uninsured and do not otherwise pay for their heath care, although they somehow manage to send approximately $30 billion a year back to Mexico. Medical services not paid for by illegals are dumped on the backs of Americans who belong here.
Concerned about violent crime, drugs, gangs and the general deterioration of the rule of law?

In addition to the crime of being in America unlawfully, illegal aliens exacerbate crime in this nation.

Concerned about the loss of jobs and reduced standard of living for working Americans?

Illegal aliens undercut American citizens by working for lower wages and without benefits. In effect, they steal jobs from real Americans.

With Democrats committed to spending trillions of dollars of taxpayer money to revive the Obama-jinxed economy, why not fix the illegal alien mess, once and for all, by building a viable border fence and by sending those who have no business being here back to their nations of origin?

Over ten years, the savings would be over $1 trillion dollars. And the rule of law would be sustained, and American culture and language preserved!

Deport illegal aliens and save $100 billion a year—without sequestration!

Bob Woodward Exposes Obama “Fib” Regarding Origin of Sequester

With March 1 just days away and the financial Armageddon known as “sequester” about to kick in, President Obama continues his pathetic attempt to blame Republicans for the quagmire that bears Obama’s personal mark of incompetence, instantly recognizable by the immature, illogical nature of arguments advanced.

Thanks to Bob Woodward of the Washington Post, Obama’s latest lying campaign is being exposed.

Woodward’s column is found at the reference and includes the following:

Misunderstanding, misstatements and all the classic contortions of partisan message management surround the sequester, the term for the $85 billion in ugly and largely irrational federal spending cuts set by law to begin Friday.

What is the non-budget wonk to make of this? Who is responsible? What really happened?

The finger-pointing began during the third presidential debate last fall, on Oct. 22, when President Obama blamed Congress. “The sequester is not something that I’ve proposed,” Obama said. “It is something that Congress has proposed.”

The White House chief of staff at the time, Jack Lew, who had been budget director during the negotiations that set up the sequester in 2011, backed up the president two days later.

“There was an insistence on the part of Republicans in Congress for there to be some automatic trigger,” Lew said while campaigning in Florida. It “was very much rooted in the Republican congressional insistence that there be an automatic measure.”

The president and Lew had this wrong. My extensive reporting for my book “The Price of Politics” shows that the automatic spending cuts were initiated by the White House and were the brainchild of Lew and White House congressional relations chief Rob Nabors — probably the foremost experts on budget issues in the senior ranks of the federal government.

Obama personally approved of the plan for Lew and Nabors to propose the sequester to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.). They did so at 2:30 p.m. July 27, 2011, according to interviews with two senior White House aides who were directly involved.

Nabors has told others that they checked with the president before going to see Reid. A mandatory sequester was the only action-forcing mechanism they could devise. Nabors has said, “We didn’t actually think it would be that hard to convince them” — Reid and the Republicans — to adopt the sequester. “It really was the only thing we had. There was not a lot of other options left on the table.”

A majority of Republicans did vote for the Budget Control Act that summer, which included the sequester. Key Republican staffers said they didn’t even initially know what a sequester was — because the concept stemmed from the budget wars of the 1980s, when they were not in government.

At the Feb. 13 Senate Finance Committee hearing on Lew’s nomination to become Treasury secretary, Sen. Richard Burr (R-N.C.) asked Lew about the account in my book: “Woodward credits you with originating the plan for sequestration. Was he right or wrong?”

“It’s a little more complicated than that,” Lew responded, “and even in his account, it was a little more complicated than that. We were in a negotiation where the failure would have meant the default of the government of the United States.”

“Did you make the suggestion?” Burr asked.

“Well, what I did was said that with all other options closed, we needed to look for an option where we could agree on how to resolve our differences. And we went back to the 1984 plan that Senator [Phil] Gramm and Senator [Warren] Rudman worked on and said that that would be a basis for having a consequence that would be so unacceptable to everyone that we would be able to get action.”

In other words, yes.

But then Burr asked about the president’s statement during the presidential debate, that the Republicans originated it.

Lew, being a good lawyer and a loyal presidential adviser, then shifted to denial mode: “Senator, the demand for an enforcement mechanism was not something that the administration was pushing at that moment.”

That statement was not accurate.

On Tuesday, Obama appeared at the White House with a group of police officers and firefighters to denounce the sequester as a “meat-cleaver approach” that would jeopardize military readiness and investments in education, energy and readiness. He also said it would cost jobs. But, the president said, the substitute would have to include new revenue through tax reform.

At noon that same day, White House press secretary Jay Carney shifted position and accepted sequester paternity.

“The sequester was something that was discussed,” Carney said. Walking back the earlier statements, he added carefully, “and as has been reported, it was an idea that the White House put forward.”

This was an acknowledgment that the president and Lew had been wrong.

Why does this matter?

First, months of White House dissembling further eroded any semblance of trust between Obama and congressional Republicans. (The Republicans are by no means blameless and have had their own episodes of denial and bald-faced message management.)

Second, Lew testified during his confirmation hearing that the Republicans would not go along with new revenue in the portion of the deficit-reduction plan that became the sequester. Reinforcing Lew’s point, a senior White House official said Friday, “The sequester was an option we were forced to take because the Republicans would not do tax increases.”

In fact, the final deal reached between Vice President Biden and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) in 2011 included an agreement that there would be no tax increases in the sequester in exchange for what the president was insisting on: an agreement that the nation’s debt ceiling would be increased for 18 months, so Obama would not have to go through another such negotiation in 2012, when he was running for reelection.

So when the president asks that a substitute for the sequester include not just spending cuts but also new revenue, he is moving the goal posts. His call for a balanced approach is reasonable, and he makes a strong case that those in the top income brackets could and should pay more. But that was not the deal he made.”

Cardinal Roger Mahony: Jesus-Like “Scapegoat”?

Cardinal Roger Mahony has been soundly rebuked for mishandling cases involving sexual molestation of children by Catholic priests. His role in covering-up potential criminal behavior is nothing short of scandalous, and has caused him to be stripped of diocesan duties.

In and of itself, the Mahony cover-up is a devastating exposure of the apparent lack of spiritual enlightenment in some quarters of the Catholic Church.

Even worse, however, is the despicable attempt by the “Holy Father” to claim that he is a victim who is being persecuted as was Jesus Christ!

As reported in the media:

Los Angeles' retired Cardinal Roger Mahony, who was rebuked last month for his handling of the sex-abuse crisis, suggests he was "scapegoated" in a blog post ahead of two important dates: his Saturday deposition in a lawsuit alleging that the church hierarchy protected a priest accused of molesting children and his trip to Rome to help pick the next pope.

The high-profile "prince of the church" is at the center of an outcry over several scandal-tainted cardinals being allowed to help choose who will succeed Pope Benedict XVI at next month's conclave at the Vatican.

A group called Catholics United started a petition against his attendance at the conclave. And an Italian consumer group requested Rome prosecutors open a criminal investigation into Mahony if he travels to the Vatican, the news agency ANSA reported Friday.

Improbable as that is, it underscores the outrage in some quarters that cardinals whose reputations have been battered by cover-up allegations will have an equal say in who will next lead the world's 1.3 billion Catholics.

NBC News' Vatican expert, George Weigel, said he could not recall similar calls for abstention at other conclaves, but he noted that voting is an obligation under church law and that other "less-than-admirable" figures have attended for more than a millennium.

"If people are looking for a perfect, sinless electorate to choose religious leadership, they should look somewhere else," Weigel said.”

Excuse me, but who in the hell is looking for “a perfect, sinless electorate,” Mr. Weigel?

Is it really too much to ask that Cardinals voting for a Pope to represent Jesus Christ on earth not be involved in covering up pedophilia and other sexual abuses of children?

Jesus himself warned against harming “little ones“ with this admonition, "If any of you put a stumbling block before one of these little ones who believe in me, it would be better for you if a great millstone were fastened around your neck and you were drowned in the depth of the sea" (Matt 18:6).

It would seem that the least that the Church could do would be to deny the vote to Mahony, so as to not cheapen and ridicule the Conclave and the next Pope.
Furthermore, given the choice between not voting for Pope and being “drowned in the depth of the sea,” Mahony would seem to be undeservingly blessed if his punishment be limited to the former!

Obama Touts Fatherhood As Antidote to Violence; Then Golfs With Party Animal Tiger Woods!

President Obama went to the war-torn streets of Chicago and argued that gun violence, and other social decay, so prevalent in his hometown could attacked if marriage and fatherhood were promoted more.

As reported at the reference:

President Barack Obama argued that involved fathers, positive role models, and "strong, stable families" are key to reducing violence and it's "not just a gun issue," in a speech he gave Friday in his former hometown of Chicago.

"There's no more important ingredient for success, nothing that would be more important for us reducing violence than strong, stable families -- which means we should do more to promote marriage and encourage fatherhood," Obama said.

Chicago is one of the most violent cities in America, where 40 people were killed by guns in the last month. First Lady Michelle Obama attended a funeral there last week for Hadiya Pendleton, a 15-year-old girl, who was shot dead in a park a week after participating in the presidential inauguration.

"When a child opens fire on another child, there's a hole in that child's heart that government can't fill -- only community and parents and teachers and clergy can fill that hole," he said. "There are entire neighborhoods where young people, they don't see an example of somebody succeeding. For a lot of young boys and young men in particular, they don't see an example of fathers or grandfathers, uncles who are in a position to support families and be held up and respected."

Nobody can argue with the idea that strong families and good fathers are vital to young males struggling to grow up in a confusing world, mad world!

The problem with Obama’s pitch is that his words smack of utter hypocrisy!


Indeed, after delivering his Shout Out to Fathers and Strong Families, the president flew off to Florida for a golfing weekend with Tiger Woods, the last man one with any common sense would hold up as a model of good fatherhood or as an example of a dedicated family man!

There is no doubt that Tiger is a splendid, world-class athlete whose work ethic and tireless commitment to excellence are laudable and worthy of emulation.

Still, immediately after delivering such a powerful call for positive male role models and strong families, golfing with a known adulterer and party animal like Tiger Woods gives Obama’s words an all-too-familiar ring--that of hypocritical double talk!

Also known as "bull excrement"!

Pope Obama?

In announcing his resignation from the Papacy, Pope Benedict has created a spiritual vacuum for 1.2 billion practicing Catholics including the likes of Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi, John Kerry and other anti-life, pro-gay Democrats worshipping at the altar of hypocrisy and government-sponsored death.

Early reports indicate a mushrooming preference on the part of rank-and file Catholics for an African Pope to replace the old-school white dude from Poland.

Speculation is that when white smoke finally emerges from the chimney above the Conclave doings in Rome, the Chosen One will be from the ranks of those old males currently serving the Church in a very-high capacity, such as a Cardinal or Archbishop.

Lest one panic, we have it on good authority that Cardinal Roger Mahony, former Archbishop of Los Angeles, is NOT on anyone’s short list for the Papacy, owing to a sordid past of covering-up sexual abuses by Catholic priests who love Jesus Christ, but apparently love the affections of young boys as much, or even more!

The bad news concerning the despicable Mahony is that he WILL be able to vote for Pope Benedict’s successor, a fact that has many good Catholics in a righteous snit as reported at the reference.

While the power brokers in Rome consider the various candidates for Pope, we rather suspect that the name of one precocious Barack Obama has escaped notice from the minds of those whom will vote.

Barack Obama, current president of America?

Heck yes, and why not?

After all, Obama is already revered by millions of low-information voters and left-wing media types as a man of deity, a progressive with a halo and access to the tax code!

And Obama professes to be Christian, a handy reference for anyone aspiring to the Papacy.

Minor obstacles to Pope Obama persist, including:

* Michele would have to go, but perhaps she already has!

* Barack would have to give up golf and eschew the Popemobile, which in his view would better serve suffering humanity as a golf cart;

* Barack would have to take a vow of poverty and accept a rigid debt-ceiling and limit on spending—terms not subject to Papal veto!


Last, but perhaps not least, ascension to the Papacy would demand absolute honesty and transparency from the One.

THAT clearly would be the greatest challenge of all—a mountain so high that even righteous prayer, however intense,  might not be enough!

Pope Obama? Worse things have happened, you know: For example, President Obama!

In Denver School, “Equality” Means People of Color ONLY!

Racial discrimination, long the bane of American culture and history, is, according to some leftist Twinkies, an evil found only among Caucasians. Some even go so far as to claim that people of color are incapable of being racists, either as a matter of DNA or superior moral tradition.

Enter the personage of Andre Pearson, a school principal from Aurora, Colorado who had the gall to promote, in writing no less, a tutoring program designated as available ONLY to people of color.

As reported, Mr. Pearson is desperately trying to explain his racist behavior but is having limited success:

AURORA, Colo. (CBS4) – A school principal said no white children were allowed at an after-school tutoring program, and now some parents call it discrimination.
The principal at Mission Viejo Elementary in Aurora sent a letter telling parents the program is only for students of color. Parents CBS4 talked with said they were shocked to see, in this day and age, what they consider to be segregation.

“I was infuriated. I didn’t understand why they would include or exclude certain groups,” said parent Nicole Cox, who is white Cox’s 10-year-old daughter needs tutoring. After receiving the notice, other parents complained to the school’s principal, Andre Pearson.
“We have come so far in all of these years to show everybody that everyone is equal, that everyone should be treated equally … this is a form of bullying,” Cox said.

Before Cox could complain to the school, Pearson contacted her directly. His voicemail only seemed to reinforce the segregated tutoring idea.
“This is Andre Pearson. It’s focused for and designed for children of color, but certainly, if we have space for other kids who have needs, we can definitely meet those needs,” Pearson told Cox in the voicemail.

Pearson declined to comment on camera, but a district spokesperson claims it was all just a big misunderstanding.

“I think what the answer is, is that he made a mistake,” Tustin Amole with the Cherry Creek School District told CBS4.”

By the way, for the record, Andre Pearson is a person of color, and despite his genes and upbringing is apparently a flaming racist!

America's "Unfinished Task"

According to Barack Hussein Obama, the economic doldrums which find 23 million Americans disenfranchised from the world of gainful, or most productive, employment, is but an ‘unfinished task.”

No big deal, right, Barack?

Unfortunately, Obama’s ‘unfinished task’ is really an all-encompassing disaster with the potential to destroy America’s prosperity and preeminence, on issues both domestic and foreign in nature.

It includes a $16.3 trillion (and growing!) federal deficit, and the president’s urgent need to impose higher taxes so as to “Hurt” the successful even more, regardless of harm to the economy and the middle-class.

It includes the Obama-initiated sequestration which could very well devastate America’s ability to defend herself, and bring about a second economic recession-- before recovery is achieved from the failures of the first Obama term!

It includes leftist designs to infringe on the 2nd Amendment to the US Constitution, while ignoring the root causes of gun violence.

It includes dealing with the Islamic Republic of Iran and that nation’s fast-approaching nuclear capability and evil commitment to move Israel into the Mediterranean, or worse.

It includes confronting the unpleasant reality that the City of Los Angeles may soon be vulnerable to annihilation via nuclear missiles fired from the North Korean capitol of Pyongyang.

It includes addressing crises in Syria, Egypt, Pakistan and other Muslim nations where Al-Quaeda, the Muslim Brotherhood, and other dangerous extremists ache for the opportunity to kill millions of Americans and impose 7th Century standards on an unwilling modern world.

It includes “Comprehensive” immigration reform to transform foreign invaders into American citizens as payback for the Latino vote, while reducing our blessed nation to a suburb of the failed, third-world state of Mexico.

It includes implementation of the Marxist health-care tragedy of ObamaCare which will, in contradiction of Obama’s promises, increase the cost of health care while causing millions to lose existing coverage.

Most of all, it includes the need to revise the 22nd Amendment so that Obama can exercise dictatorial leverage over America for as long as may be needed to clean up the mess that this narcissistic tyrant has created with his own two hands, aided and abetted by Marxists posing as Democrats.

The most critical Unfinished Task?

For the future of a free and healthy America, We the People must assure that the likes of Barack Hussein Obama never again occupy any position of power or influence in America!

Obama Frets About Law-abiding American Gun Owners: What About Iran, North Korea, sir?

Barack Obama will stand before the American people this evening to deliver his State of the Union address. His speech is expected to be riddled with envy and hatred aimed at Americans with the audacity to succeed.

Obama will wax brutal on spending cuts proposed by Republicans, and will launch into a full-throated, illogical, teleprompter-assisted diatribe against spending cuts by implying that Republican proposals are based on one, or all, of the following maladies:

Racism, the war on women, Islamaphobia, homophobia, Obamaphobia, “fair share” phobia, and disregard for the poor and near poor.


He will advance the idiotic notion that making 11 million illegal aliens suddenly legal, without merit, will bring vigor and recovery to the Obama- mangled economy. He will fail to mention that he is pushing amnesty not for any humane consideration, but to grow the Democrat Party with entitlement-hungry foreigner invaders.

He will crow about his 23 Executive Orders which set forth unconstitutional assaults on the 2nd Amendment. He will fail to mention that his silly Executive Orders have not spared a single life or improved anything except the sales and profits of those who trade in guns and ammunition.

He will claim that a decade of war is ending, under his leadership, but will downplay the threats posed by North Korea and Iran.

He will most likely be mute about the Benghazi terrorist attack and his non-response to the death of four Americans on that fateful September 11. He will shed no light on his whereabouts on that night of mayhem and slaughter.

All in all, Obama will studiously avoid accepting responsibility for his many failures, while blaming Republicans for everything from the pandemic of football head injuries in the NFL to the 40 inches of snow that slammed into the Northeast (obviously the result of GOP-assisted climate change).


Two question persist, Mr. President: Where are the jobs, and how is it that the Democrat-controlled US Senate has done nothing to legislate your draconian gun confiscation ideas?

Obama to Emancipate Big Government from Designs Of Evil Capitalists-- on Abe Lincoln’s Birthday!

After wasting four years, trillions of dollars of American taxpayer treasure, and encumbering untold numbers of future generations with unsustainable debt in pursuit of worthless Marxist schemes, President Barack Obama says he will use the State of the Union spiel on February 12 to focus on jobs!

And not a minute too soon, Barack!

After three comatose “summers of recovery,” 23 million Americans unemployed or underemployed, negative growth in the last quarter of 2012, and with one credit downgrade already on America’s books, and another rumored to be nigh, the boy genius from Kenya is once again promising to tend to the issue that people really care about: Jobs and the economy!

So it is that Obama will abuse the birthday and memory of Abraham Lincoln (February 12) to announce his sweeping plan for emancipation of the thousands of bureaucrats and wasteful programs employed by the federal government from the clutches of sound economic policy, thereby assuring further decline of the US economy:

President Obama’s inaugural address last month was billed as a call to action, as well as a not-so-subtle declaration that American politics had been transformed -- on the role of government, on gay rights, and on war.
But tomorrow night’s State of the Union will have a slightly different focus, White House aides say, with Obama emphasizing the economy and revisiting the economic themes from his re-election campaign. The speech “will outline his plan to create jobs and grow the middle class by investing in people,” an administration official tells First Read, adding: “The president’s plan grows the economy from the middle out by investing in manufacturing, clean energy, education, and infrastructure.”

Obama also will call on Congress to reduce the nation’s deficit and debt, including via entitlement reform, but he will say these cuts need to be balanced and not borne solely by the middle class. The White House always viewed his two big speeches in three weeks (the inaugural and State of the Union) as two bites at the bully-pulpit apple. And the same administration official calls the two speeches “two acts in the same play.” While the White House maintains they have been focused on the economy, tomorrow’s speech will put an end to the chatter (they hope) that they haven’t spent enough time TALKING about the economy.”

Excuse me, Mr. President.

But other than TALKING about the economy just what else has your administration done to IMPROVE the economy and the unemployment quagmire? Raising taxes and working to bring 11 million foreign illegal aliens out from the shadows and into the work force to compete against US citizens does not qualify, sir!

Perhaps a change in strategy would help? How about a Tax CUT for entrepreneurs and small business owners, those rare souls who can actually create jobs? How about supporting American citizens instead of foreign invaders for a change?

How about terminating ObamaCare and the devastating impact that that Marxist nonsense will have on job creation and growth?

Why not really show your grit by establishing a “Jobs Council” to demonstrate the extent of your heart ache for those 23 million abandoned Americans who are unemployed or underemployed?

Why not issue an Executive Order (or two dozen) to command the Bureau of Labor Statistics to ignore the millions of Americans who have simply dropped out and are no longer even bothering to look for work?

Such a scheme would immediately reduce the unemployment rate and make life less stressful for the administration on the first Friday of each month when the “Jobs” malarkey is reported!

Why not “Go American,” if just for a season?

Let's Just Skip “Presidents' Day” This Year!

The US federal holiday known as Presidents'  Day is supposed to be a day set aside for We the People to reflect on, and honor, the patriots who have served America as CEO and Commander-in-Chief for more than 200 years.

This celebration is supposed to hail all previous chief executives, as well as the current servant of the people.

All-in-all, the day seems a good idea, meant for reflecting positively on the many achievements and accomplishments of our presidents in protecting and defending the US Constitution and advancing the concept of self-governance through our Democratic republic.

Unfortunately, when the holiday was originally, conceived there was little or no concern that a Marxist tyrant would be elected president.

Indeed, the American people were too clever for that, it was assumed.

The notion that 47 percent of the electorate would automatically vote for a Marxist whose platform was based on class warfare and redistribution of wealth (in the form of stolen gifts and entitlements to his constituents) was so un-American as to be utterly unthinkable.

 Thus, nobody gave a second thought to the possibility that the man installed in the Oval Office would have utter and complete contempt for the Constitution and the principals and ideals on which our nation were founded.

Who would have imagined that a duly-elected president would seek to circumvent the 2nd Amendment and other of the nation’s laws with unilateral Executive Orders with no input from the US Congress?

Who would have imagined that an American president would place his reelection above the basic responsibility to protect and defend American diplomats serving in a foreign nation and that that president would hide and distort the truth from the American people, all in the name of preserving the president’s dubious claim to success in foreign policy?

Who would have imagined that the president would have the temerity to take over the nation’s health care with unwieldy, costly, socialized medicine which the American people mostly oppose?

Who would have thought that the president would be an irresponsible, reckless abuser of the nation’s treasure, such that the national credit was downgraded during his term, and the national debt would grow as a severe threat to the economic health of the nation?

In short, who would have thought that America would elect an incompetent, anti-American wrecking ball like Barack Obama?

For the sanity of We the people, let us just pretend that Presidents'  Day does not exist--at least until 2017!

WSJ Endorses Obama Antagonist Dr. Ben Carson!

Dr. Ben Carson, Director of Pediatric Neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins, while speaking to the White House prayer breakfast on Friday, took a few moments to scold President Obama for some of his ultra-left positions including Obamacare, the outrageous liberal desire to “hurt” the successful and other un-American foolishness.

Dr. Carlson’s presentation, made with President Obama seated just a few feet away, has won rave reviews for the non-PC doc, including an endorsement from the Wall Street Journal.

That endorsement reported at Reference 1 is repeated below:

Whether this weekend finds you blowing two feet of snow off the driveway or counting the hours until "Downton Abbey," make time to watch the video of Dr. Ben Carson speaking to the White House prayer breakfast this week. (See reference 2)

Seated in view to his right are Senator Jeff Sessions and President Obama. One doesn't look happy. You know something's coming when Dr. Carson says, "It's not my intention to offend anyone. But it's hard not to. The PC police are out in force everywhere."

Dr. Carson tossed over the PC police years ago. Raised by a single mother in inner-city Detroit, he was as he tells it "a horrible student with a horrible temper." Today he's director of pediatric neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins and probably the most renowned specialist in his field.

Late in his talk he dropped two very un-PC ideas. The first is an unusual case for a flat tax: "What we need to do is come up with something simple. And when I pick up my Bible, you know what I see? I see the fairest individual in the universe, God, and he's given us a system. It's called a tithe.

"We don't necessarily have to do 10% but it's the principle. He didn't say if your crops fail, don't give me any tithe or if you have a bumper crop, give me triple tithe. So there must be something inherently fair about proportionality. You make $10 billion, you put in a billion. You make $10 you put in one. Of course you've got to get rid of the loopholes. Some people say, 'Well that's not fair because it doesn't hurt the guy who made $10 billion as much as the guy who made 10.'

Where does it say you've got to hurt the guy? He just put a billion dollars in the pot. We don't need to hurt him. It's that kind of thinking that has resulted in 602 banks in the Cayman Islands. That money needs to be back here building our infrastructure and creating jobs."

Not surprisingly, a practicing physician has un-PC thoughts on health care:

"Here's my solution: When a person is born, give him a birth certificate, an electronic medical record, and a health savings account to which money can be contributed—pretax—from the time you're born 'til the time you die. If you die, you can pass it on to your family members, and there's nobody talking about death panels. We can make contributions for people who are indigent. Instead of sending all this money to some bureaucracy, let's put it in their HSAs. Now they have some control over their own health care. And very quickly they're gong to learn how to be responsible."

The Johns Hopkins neurosurgeon may not be politically correct, but he's closer to correct than we've heard in years.”

Actually, Dr. Carson is one hell of a lot closer to correct than our current, befuddled president!

Wonder if the Good Doc would consider a run in 2016 as a Republican?

In Ohio, Voting Twice OK---Provided One Voted for Obama!

Voter ID and other efforts to assure the integrity of the vote are often ridiculed as racist or unnecessary by loopy liberals and the mainstream media.

However, in Ohio it turns out that an election official admits to voting twice and defends the practice because she did ‘not intend to commit fraud.’

Critics of voter ID and other laws cracking down on voter fraud claim they’re unnecessary because fraud is nonexistent. For instance, Brennan Center attorneys Michael Waldman and Justin Levitt claimed last year: “A person casting two votes risks jail time and a fine for minimal gain. Proven voter fraud, statistically, happens about as often as death by lightning strike.”

Well, lightning is suddenly all over Cincinnati, Ohio. The Hamilton County Board of Elections is investigating 19 possible cases of alleged voter fraud that occurred when Ohio was a focal point of the 2012 presidential election. A total of 19 voters and nine witnesses are part of the probe.


Democrat Melowese Richardson has been an official poll worker for the last quarter century and registered thousands of people to vote last year. She candidly admitted to Cincinnati’s Channel 9 this week that she voted twice in the last election.

This is how Channel 9′s website summarized the case:


According to county documents, Richardson’s absentee ballot was accepted on Nov. 1, 2012 along with her signature. On Nov. 11, she told an official she also voted at a precinct because she was afraid her absentee ballot would not be counted in time.

“There’s absolutely no intent on my part to commit voter fraud,” said Richardson. . . .

The board’s documents also state that Richardson was allegedly disruptive and hid things from other poll workers on Election Day after another female worker reported she was intimidated by Richardson. . . .

During the investigation it was also discovered that her granddaughter, India Richardson, who was a first time voter in the 2012 election, cast two ballots in November.

Richardson insists she has done nothing wrong and promises to contest the charges: “I’ll fight it for Mr. Obama and for Mr. Obama’s right to sit as president of the United States.”


How do you suppose this crazy woman would react upon learning that Mitt Romney had been blessed with multiple votes by the same voter?

Greater Evil: Water Boarding, or Death By Drone?

In his fairy- tale pursuit of being the “kinder, gentler” president, Barack Obama has offered illogical proposals concerning the closure of GITMO and abandonment of Enhanced Interrogation Techniques, in particular the practice of “water boarding,” used with great effect to find Osama bin Laden and to develop intelligence for saving American lives.


However, in Obama’s muddled, liberal-infested mind, GITMO and water boarding simply irritate terrorists and suspected terrorists and ‘tarnish’ the US brand throughout the world.

Obama thus makes his case for taking the ‘moral high ground,’ as if giving the likes of KSM full Miranda rights and trying the heathen in New York City, like an American citizen, will assuage KSM’s lust for blood and dead Americans!
All of which must provide KSM and other Islamofascists with great amusement and merriment. Unfortunately, Obama’s Muslim pipe dream has no upside for saving American lives!

Obama has decided to wage war via the Drone, which frees him from the mess associated with going through Congress and all the annoyances of the US Constitution! Besides, he can target American citizens with drones, at least according to his corrupt DOJ!

It is really getting scary out there!

The latest insanity includes a Justice Department memo which alleges that it is legal for the government to use drones against American citizens!

That means that the same government that wants to take away YOUR guns would allow Obama to use drones against you!

Is there anything more frightening?

A confidential Justice Department memo concludes that the U.S. government can order the killing of American citizens if they are believed to be "senior operational leaders" of al-Qaida or "an associated force" -- even if there is no intelligence indicating they are engaged in an active plot to attack the U.S.

The 16-page memo, a copy of which was obtained by NBC News, provides new details about the legal reasoning behind one of the Obama administration’s most secretive and controversial polices: its dramatically increased use of drone strikes against al-Qaida suspects abroad, including those aimed at American citizens, such as the September 2011 strike in Yemen that killed alleged al-Qaida operatives Anwar al-Awlaki and Samir Khan. Both were U.S. citizens who had never been indicted by the U.S. government nor charged with any crimes.

Michael Isikoff, national investigative correspondent for NBC News, talks with Rachel Maddow about a newly obtained, confidential Department of Justice white paper that hints at the details of a secret White House memo that explains the legal justifications for targeted drone strikes that kill Americans without trial in the name of national security.


"This is a chilling document," said Jameel Jaffer, deputy legal director of the ACLU, which is suing to obtain administration memos about the targeted killing of Americans. "Basically, it argues that the government has the right to carry out the extrajudicial killing of an American citizen. … It recognizes some limits on the authority it sets out, but the limits are elastic and vaguely defined, and it’s easy to see how they could be manipulated."

In particular, Jaffer said, the memo "redefines the word imminence in a way that deprives the word of its ordinary meaning."

A Justice Department spokeswoman declined to comment on the white paper. The spokeswoman, Tracy Schmaler, instead pointed to public speeches by what she called a "parade" of administration officials, including Brennan, Holder, former State Department Legal Adviser Harold Koh and former Defense Department General Counsel Jeh Johnson that she said outlined the "legal framework" for such operations.

Pressure for turning over the Justice Department memos on targeted killings of Americans appears to be building on Capitol Hill amid signs that Brennan will be grilled on the subject at his confirmation hearing before the Senate Intelligence Committee on Thursday.

On Monday, a bipartisan group of 11 senators -- led by Democrat Ron Wyden of Oregon — wrote a letter to President Barack Obama asking him to release all Justice Department memos on the subject. While accepting that "there will clearly be circumstances in which the president has the authority to use lethal force" against Americans who take up arms against the country, it said, "It is vitally important ... for Congress and the American public to have a full understanding of how the executive branch interprets the limits and boundaries of this authority."

　

The completeness of the administration’s public accounts of its legal arguments was also sharply criticized last month by U.S. Judge Colleen McMahon in response to a lawsuit brought by the New York Times and the ACLU seeking access to the Justice Department memos on drone strikes targeting Americans under the Freedom of Information Act. McMahon, describing herself as being caught in a "veritable Catch-22," said she was unable to order the release of the documents given "the thicket of laws and precedents that effectively allow the executive branch of our government to proclaim as perfectly lawful certain actions that seem on their face incompatible with our Constitution and laws while keeping the reasons for the conclusion a secret."

　

With all due respect to Barack Obama and Eric Holder, who in their right mind would trust either of these radicals to use deadly force against American citizens without being motivated by ideology and politics?  Obama's hatred and lust for revenge should frighten all!

While Obama Frets About Legal Ownership of Guns and Football, Iran Marches Toward Nuclear Weapon!

Just how does Barack Obama prioritize his policy objectives and executive branch policy actions?

Is there a Ouija board that the President can access from his teleprompter, or from the comfort of Air Force One?

Perhaps an old lady with a left-leaning crystal ball gives Obama spiritual advise after dusting, vacuuming, and cleaning the Oval Office?

Must be something weird like that because even the most deluded Obamamite cannot explain why Obama consistently works himself into a self-righteous lather about Americans who exercise their 2nd Amendment rights.

And the Obama who frets with nearly as much misguided concern over football injuries in the NFL.

Tragically, while Obama frets about the dangers of the US Constitution and pro football, the Islamic terrorist state of Iran drives closer and closer to having a nuclear weapon with which to bedevil and, perhaps annihilate, all of suffering humanity!

Mind you, a nuclear-armed Iran would be a real crisis worthy of presidential concern, especially given the threat that a nuclear Iran would pose to the Jewish state of Israel.

But perhaps that is why Obama is not taking Iran’s nuclear designs seriously? As the most anti-Semitic president in history, could it be that Obama is covertly rooting for Iran to join the Mushroom Brigade?

And might that be why Obama has nominated Chuck Hagel to run the Department of Defense? After all, Hagel is damn near as anti-Israel and pro-Iran as our befuddled prez!

Bob Menendez, Chairman of Senate Foreign Relations Committee? Shameful, Disgraceful!

New Jersey Senator Robert Menendez, life-long DEMOCRAT, has recently been approved to take over as Chairman of the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee to replace John Kerry who takes over the Secretary of State post vacated by Hillary Rodham Clinton.

As reported at Reference 1, Menendez is making other news as well, all of it bad, concerning his employment of an illegal alien in his Senate office and, even more news-worthy, his alleged ethics violations involving shady deals with big-money donors, and even more hideous, his rumored perversions with under age prostitutes in the Dominican Republic.

The story from Reference 1:

John Kerry wiped away a tear Wednesday as he said farewell to Senate colleagues who had gathered in the chamber to wish him well as the next secretary of state.
But conspicuously absent was Sen. Robert Menendez, who a day earlier had been approved to replace Kerry as chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, one of the most coveted posts on Capitol Hill.

The achievement marked an improbable ascension by Menendez, 59, born to Cuban immigrants, raised in gritty Union City and practiced in the hurly-burly of Hudson County politics.

Yet the week hardly had the trappings of a political triumph.

The New Jersey Democrat is now accused by some critics of violating Senate rules for accepting two round-trip flights to the Dominican Republican in 2010 from a wealthy campaign donor, Salomon Melgen, an eye surgeon whose Florida offices were raided Tuesday night and again Wednesday by the FBI.

Menendez paid for the flights last month after a complaint was filed with the Senate Ethics Committee by a Republican New Jersey state lawmaker. He also faces anonymous and unsubstantiated accusations that he had sexual encounters with prostitutes in the Dominican Republic, at least one of whom was underage.

The senator has vehemently denied the claims, and a spokesman, Paul Brubaker, said Menendez “is accustomed to politically motivated false allegations.”

The events tarnished what should have been a shining moment for Menendez, who spent much of his week ducking reporters in back hallways of the Capitol.

The timing for him was “just horrific,” said Ralph Carter, a political science professor at Texas Christian University who is an expert on the role of Congress in foreign policy.

“Once scandal is out there that you misused powers in a way that might beholden you to certain political contributors, that’s damage,” Carter said. “He’s damaged. He may be fatally damaged. If this goes further and he actually becomes the target of a formal ethics investigation, I think he’s out as chair. He could be out of Congress.”

Last May, Joseph Bigica, a major supporter of Menendez, pleaded guilty to using straw donors to funnel nearly $100,000 in illegal contributions to the senator’s campaign, which was not accused of any wrongdoing. It acknowledged having received the donation, but said it had been a victim in the case.

A campaign official said they planned to give the money to charity.

Bigica, of Franklin Lakes, admitted that from April 2005 to May 2009 he had conspired to make the illegal contributions to the campaign committee of an unidentified candidate for federal office. Officials did not identify the candidate, but campaign finance records show the donations went to Menendez.

Larry Sabato, director of the University of Virginia Center for Politics, put it this way: “In a court of law, it’s wrong for a defendant to be forced to prove his innocence. But in a court of public opinion, that’s precisely what happens. He’s going to have to prove his innocence. He can scream unfairness all he wants, but those are the rules of the political game."

Meanwhile, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is not quite so vociferous in his support of the embattled Menendez, as reported at Reference 2:

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has backed off his ardent defense of New Jersey Democratic Sen. Bob Menendez amid the scandal crashing down on his colleague.

In an interview on ABC News’ This Week today, Reid admitted the existence of multiple investigations into Menendez and his connections to wealthy Democratic Party donor Dr. Salomon Melgen. Reid dropped his rhetoric attacking this reporter, and other outlets that have been investigating the Menendez scandal, since this reporter first published interviews in early November with two Dominican Republic prostitutes alleging they were under-paid to have sex with Menendez.

“I have confidence he did nothing wrong,” Reid said Sunday morning in an interview with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos, a former Democratic Party and Bill Clinton strategist. “But that's what investigations are all about.”

As usual, Harry Reid equivocates like mush when accusations are made against a Democrat colleague.

If only Reid had been so circumspect last year before he went to the floor of the US Senate to spread unsubstantiated rumors about Republican Mitt Romney!

Economy In Contraction, Unemployment Up, Consumer Confidence Down: Still 'Headed in Right Direction, ' Mr. President?

As with most leftists, Barack Obama is quite skilled at denying truth until denial is no longer palatable; at which point our disingenuous Marxist blames Republicans, the economic doldrums in Europe, the Earthquake and Tsunami in Japan, any and everything else, except for his sorry self and his failed policies.

Obama’s convoluted grasp of reality has survived the new year intact, as evidenced by this week’s news low-lights:



* The US economy contracted during the last quarter of 2012;



* Unemployment resumed its upward march again in January, and



* Consumer confidence plunged.



Obama’s reaction was predictable:  He immediately blamed the GOP for trying to impose responsible spending limits on the out-of-control administration, AND he disbanded the Jobs council which was touted as proof of his 24/7 concern for the unemployed.

Yes, that same jobs council which Obama abandoned for most of 2012!

So Mr. Obama, do you still stand by your goofy declaration that America is “headed in the right direction?”


If so, one must ask, “Direction to what, sir? Greece?"
