“Fairness Doctrine,” Anyone?

By John W. Lillpop

How deliciously ironic that the free-speech rights of an accomplished African-American were abused by left-wing zealots at NPR, where constant worship at the altar of diversity is a non-negotiable term of employment.

Unless, that is, one’s opinion does not fit the NPR brand, in which case diversity be damned!

That is what happened to Juan Williams.

Wonder what would NPR chief executive, Vivian Schiller, would say if FOX News had fired a minority under similar circumstances?

No doubt she and others at NPR would claim to be “appalled and aghast” at such behavior.

Schiller and others on the left would call for Congressional hearings, civil rights action, and would demand that Erick Holder forget about the New Black Panthers case and focus instead on the criminally liable scoundrels at Fox News.

Fairness Doctrine, anyone?
