Obama on Biden Debate Performance: “Terrific”

By John W. Lillpop

The last smirk was barely gone from Joe Biden’s overworked, weary old face when President Obama heaped high praise upon his Veep for rescuing the president from his own sorry flop against Mitt Romney on October 3.

As reported in the Los Angeles Times(See Reference):

“President Obama quickly praised his running mate’s performance in the vice presidential debate on Thursday night, declaring Joe Biden’s efforts “terrific.”

“I could not be prouder of him. I thought he made a very strong case,” Obama told reporters on the tarmac at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland as he returned from a day of campaigning in Florida. “I really think that his passion for making sure that the economy grows for the middle class came through. So I'm very proud of him.”

The president said he watched the debate between Biden and Rep. Paul D. Ryan from Air Force One and then called Biden to congratulate him.”
“Terrific” is, of course, a subjective term.

Still, compared with Obama’s historic "Special Olympics" debate, Biden’s dumbing down of the debate process and the Vice Presidency with childish smirks, laughter, facial antics and an occasional grunt might well be judged “terrific” by one desperate for a reason to forget Obama’s October Demise the week prior.

Terrific, Mr. President?

What about the fact that Biden got it completely wrong when he denied that Embassy personnel in Benghazi had requested additional security, as testified to by Eric Nordstrom and others at a House Committee hearing on October 11?

What about the fact that Biden claimed that the Obama tax proposal would raise taxes on those with incomes in excess of $1 million, when in fact Obama’s thievery would start at the $250,000 level?

But of course, what more should one expect from Obama?

After all, his delusional thinking caused him to believe that he had actually won his debate against Mitt Romney!
