As America struggles to recover from the economic, social, cultural, and political devastation wrought by tens of millions of illegal aliens invading our sovereign nation, far too often those in the Hispanic community have stood in bitter opposition to reasonable measures needed to prevent, and reverse, illegal immigration.
Calls for greater border security and enforcement of immigration laws, including deportation of those here illegally, have been almost always met with charges of racism and bigotry by Democrats and Hispanics seemingly more interested in increasing their numbers than in the rule of law, American sovereignty, and just plain common sense.
An encouraging exception appears to be emerging from New Mexico where voters there replaced Democrat (and Hispanic) Governor Bill Richardson with Republican Susana Martinez, the first Latina female elected as Governor in U.S. history.
In the very early days of her tenure, Susana Martinez has distinguished herself as a genuine American patriot dedicated to the rule of law and U.S. sovereignty, rather than being obsessed with promoting those who share her ethnicity.
In one of her first official acts, Governor Martinez eliminated an executive order issued by Richardson that prohibited law enforcement officials from asking people about immigration status.
This order takes the handcuffs off of New Mexico's law enforcement officers in their mission to keep our communities safe," Martínez said in a statement. "The criminal justice system should have the authority to determine the immigration status of all criminals, regardless of race or ethnicity, and report illegal immigrants who commit crimes to federal authorities.
Hooray and kudos, Governor!
Governor Martinez has also acted to end the idiotic designation of New Mexico as a “sanctuary” for invading criminals which only served as a Welcome Mat for freeloaders and scam artists!
Hooray again, and even more kudos, Governor!
Martinez is now trying to revoke the issuance of driver’s licenses to illegal aliens, another travesty at the hands of Hispanic racist Bill Richardson.
May the good deeds of Susana Martinez serve as a beacon of light to Hispanics and others in all walks of American life. Let her leadership be a clarion call for common sense and acknowledgment of the fact that doing that which is right is NOT about race and bigotry!
