Insanity among illegal aliens and their advocates has clearly reached epidemic proportions in certain parts of our great nation.
Consider this mind-numbing story from Chicago as reported, in part, at reference 1:
“CHICAGO, Feb. 7 (UPI) -- An Illinois hospital sent a quadriplegic back to Mexico against his will, he and his supporters charge.
Quelino Ojeda Jimenez, 20, a laborer who was in the United States illegally, fell off a roof last summer, the Chicago Tribune reported. After four months at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, he was put on an air ambulance and flown to Oaxaca.
They threw him out like he was a piece of garbage, said Horacio Esparza, a disability rights advocate in Chicago.
The Mexican Consulate in Chicago said it tried to intervene but was rebuffed.
Now Ojeda lies in a Mexican hospital that is so poor it must reuse filters for the breathing machine that keeps him alive.
Advocate Health Care, a hospital network in Illinois, said it never got his permission to transfer him.
Advocate Christ spent about $650,000 on Ojeda's care and another $60,000 to send him to Mexico after private care facilities refused to take him, said Kelly Jo Golson, a senior vice president.
Unbelievably, Ojeda’s “abrupt departure” has some Mexicans in Chicago in a snit.
Excuse me?
Mr. Ojeda, for whom all can feel sympathy, cost citizen taxpayers $710,000 over four months and is destined to spend the rest of his life in a special care facility.
Ojeda is just 20 years old. Assuming a normal life span, the illegal alien would thus cost citizen taxpayers approximately another $60 million dollars for treatment.
$60 million dollars for a person who has no moral or legal basis for being here!
This at a time when our nation is unarguably broke, partially due to the fact that America is already spending $120 billion a year on illegal aliens.
Rather than fretting over the hospital’s reasonable decision for handling an illegal alien, Mexicans in Chicago, and Mexico itself, should spend their time fighting to eradicate the corruption and greed that makes Mexico such a dismal failed state!
