Can Blue Dog Democrats Save America from Terminal Liberalism?

Liberalism is, and has always been, a mindless bit of insanity that always results in more harm than good.

That dreary prognosis is certainly applicable to the dangerous programs and policies advanced by leftists currently running the White House and both chambers of the Congress.

Once again, liberals have attempted to spend their way out of a complex problem and the result is most predictable: The American economy is deteriorating more and more while the federal deficit explodes.

Nothing President Obama and liberal Democrats have tried has worked. Nothing.

From Obama's goofy plans to shut down GITMO without thinking about what to do with the world class terrorists housed there, to the trillion dollar stimulus fiasco which was so urgent that there was no time for Congress to read the bill, President Obama's heralded CHANGE has failed to produce a single positive result.

While millions of jobs are lost to the withering effect of Obamanomics, the reckless and wild spending by liberals has caused the deficit to explode.

"The US federal deficit topped one trillion US dollars for the first time ever and could grow to nearly two trillion by this autumn, intensifying fears about higher interest rates, inflation and the strength of the dollar.

"The deficit has been widened by the huge sum the government has spent to ease the recession, combined with a sharp decline in tax revenues.

"The cost of wars in Iraq and Afghanistan also is a major factor.

"The Treasury Department said that the deficit in June totaled 94.3 billion US dollars, pushing the total since the budget year started in October to 1.09 trillion US dollars. The administration forecasts that the deficit for the entire year will hit 1.84 trillion US dollars in October."

Given the fact that NOTHING THIS PRESIDENT HAS TRIED SO FAR HAS WORKED, one would expect this bright and energetic man to step back, take a deep, long breath, and THINK before continuing with a strategy that is obviously flawed.

However, rather than stopping to think, President Obama is working 24/7 to add even more trillions to the national deficit with radical reforms in health care, the climate change bill, and amnesty for millions of invading criminals from south of our borders.

Each of these legislative actions would add trillions of dollars to the federal deficit without producing positive results for the American people.

Spending money without intelligent planning is a curse of liberal thinking that this administration appears destined to repeat.

So that means that America is doomed to become a third world nation and all is lost, right?

Not necessarily.

Although the likes of Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Teddy Kennedy, and Barney Frank pose a significant risk to the financial and moral health of our nation, there are Democrats who still believe in common sense and fiscal restraint.

That would be the blue dog coalition, perhaps the only collection of Americans that can save the day.

"The current bill would have to be substantially amended before we could consider supporting it," Ross said.

"Ross said Blue Dogs have been meeting every day to craft amendments that will be offered during that meeting, but offered no details on what those amendments are. He said those amendments could number in the dozens.

"Ross said he expects Blue Dogs will meet with the panel's chairman, Rep. Henry Waxman, D-Calif., soon to discuss their specific proposed changes."

Where Is Osama bin Laden?

Just what, in the name of all that is good and Holy, has President Obama been doing for nigh unto six bloody months?

Everyone knows that the man has trashed his promise on integrity (ear marks, signing statements, transparency, etc.) and ethics.

Everyone also knows that the president has made a wretched economy even worse by permitting clue less liberals like Nancy Pelosi to pile massive debt onto the backs of American taxpayers, their grandchildren, and their great grandchildren, ad infinitum.

Still, in the interest of being fair, one should consider some of Obama's more notable achievements to date.

Since 12:01 PM, EST, on January 20, 2009, Obama can claim credit for the following highlights from his presidential resume:

* Made headlines with his much ballyhooed plan to close Gitmo and relocate terrorists, and suspected terrorists, in states and cities run and or occupied by Republicans. All will be read their Miranda rights and treated with dignity, which will change nothing if one of these renegades has the chance to slice your throat from ear to bloody ear.

* Enhanced his image with the sleeper cell voting demographic, and other Islamofascist lunatics, by working to improve the lot of middle class terrorists in their epic struggle against infidels, mostly Caucasian Christian Republicans.

*Escorted General Motors to bankruptcy and has plans to do the same to other industries with the outrageous climate bill fiasco.

*Proposed to destroy the most efficient and effective health care system with a government run HMO.

*Promoted child infanticide (abortion) as a means for combating climate change based on new age science which shows, conclusively, that baby poop emits noxious C02 emissions, which can lead to global warming.

*Pissed off America's most loyal and powerful allies, while cavorting with the likes of Fidel Castro and Hugo Chavez, long time blood enemies of America.

*While on foreign soil, declared that America is not a Christian nation and apologized for the behavior of former President George W. Bush.

* Converted the White House Cabinet into a halfway house/career center for tax cheats, "pay to play" con artists, and other unemployed Democrats generally considered unemployable.

* Assaulted the "Don't ask, Don't Tell" military policy that discriminates against girlie men, and promised to make the military a "Big Tent" of the sort that would cause Barney Frank's heart rate to soar!


Despite Obama's many achievements, this reporter remains unbowed and will not let up until the "big question" is answered:

President Obama has been likened to Jimmy Carter when it comes to lack of leadership skills and wrong headed liberalism.

Now it appears as though Obama shares another trait with the former president from Georgia: Lust for human female flesh.

Whereas President Carter kept his lust in his heart, America's transparency president expresses his lust out in the open with all the cameras of the world trained on his every move.

That fact will be used by Team Obama as the real reason for the Messiah's interest in the young and shapely Mayara.

The Spin: As a former community organizer, Obama is always on the look for talented people whom are committed to helping others in community activist roles.

It is sheer coincidence that Mayara is a drop dead gorgeous, sixteen-year-old with a world class posterior.

The real question, Team Obama will contend, is whether Mayara can give up the good life in Rio de Janeiro in exchange for an opportunity to serve Barack Obama and the world as an intern in the White House?

In that regard, President Obama was just making sure that Oval Office furniture would be good enough for Ms. Tavares before making her an offer.

All of this in the name of transparency and openness you understand!

Nancy Pelosi Gets One Right!

Rarely does Nancy Pelosi, Shrieker of the US House of Representatives, do or say anything that makes any sense whatsoever to normal, patriotic Americans.

Remember, she is the Catholic Democrat who defended her pro-choice politics by claiming that the fathers of the church had not yet decided if abortion were a sin.

The very same Pelosi who spoke to a group of immigrants (probably illegal) at a church in San Francisco and declared that enforcing immigration laws was un-American!

Clearly, Nancy Pelosi missed her calling as a stand-up comic. Damn pity that Pelosi did not go to Hollywood to take Gracie Allen's place as a confused air head; Pelosi would have been a natural for the role.

Instead, Pelosi has spent twenty years in Washington, D.C. working 24/7 against the best interests of the American people.

She did, however, get it right on the Michael Jackson media puke-in.

Stop the presses and roll out the champagne! Nancy Pelosi, among the best and brightest San Francisco has to offer, actually took a common sense stance on an issue!

For nearly two weeks now, American media have attempted to deify Michael Jackson with 24/7 coverage of this very disturbed man's life and death.

When is enough enough? How about 14 days ago?

Not according to moonbats like Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee.

If Congresswoman Lee had gotten her way, the US Congress would have stopped work on the collapsing US economy, massive deficits, soaring unemployment and gas prices, and Obama's wars in Iraq and Afghanistan long enough to pass a resolution honoring the deceased malcontent, AKA, Michael Jackson.

Thanks to Nancy Pelosi, that will not happen!

Nearly Six Months In, Obama Still "Achievement" Free

As tough as it is to admit it, Hillary Rodham Clinton got one right when she tried to warn America that Barack Obama was an inexperienced, naive poser without any achievement to his credit.

As reported by the LA Times, in part, during the heat of the 2008 campaign:

"I think that I have a lifetime of experience that I will bring to the White House. Sen. John McCain has a lifetime of experience that he'd bring to the White House. And Sen. Obama has a speech he gave in 2002."

Zing! A good dagger to the heart by one tough old broad!

Not that it mattered in the end, though.

With the so-called fourth estate dominated by goons more concerned about "thrills" running up and down their legs than substantive issues, Obama fooled the masses with gooey-eyed double talk about CHANGE and HOPE and other empty promises, even though the One did not, and still does not, have a clue about the issues.

The unwashed masses fell in love with this bright and silver-tongued man of color who, if elected, would make your car and mortgage payments for you, provide free health care for everyone, and end partisan squabbling.

He would deal with Iran, North Korea, Al-Qaeda and other avowed enemies of America by simply talking nice to them.

He would solve the energy crisis by reminding everyone to check the air pressure in his or her tires.

He would declare all of America a "nuclear-free" zone which would immediately end the threat of nuclear war and eliminate the need for all of those silly missile shields that Republicans kept pushing to keep their pals in the defense industry rich and happy.

He would heal the racial divide in America by taking actions to atone for slavery, Jack Crow laws, discrimination and all other bad things done to African Americans over the past 400 years, within six months.

Nearly six months into the weakest, least able, and least pro-American presidency in our history, Barack Hussein Obama remains a man without achievement.

The only CHANGE he has managed is to the US dollar which, after months of Obamanomics, has been downgraded to change!

Thank goodness, the people are starting to wake up, as in Ohio where Obama's approval rating has slipped to 49 percent.

A counter-revolution is in the air.

The people have pretty much had it, and will soon demand CHANGE in the Oval Office and in the halls of Congress presently clogged with lefty nut balls like Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid.

Hang on patriots! This too will pass.
