Mitt Romney’s Quiet Dignity

Mitt Romney wandered into the lion’s den in Houston to address the NAACP on Wednesday. The candidate immediately threw red meat to the African-American crowd when he promised to repeal ObamaCare and cut non-essential spending.

The lions reacted with a lusty chorus of boos that caused Romney to pause for 15 seconds, after which he resumed explaining why African-Americans would be better served by a Romney presidency, rather than extension of the Obama administration.

Boos can unsettle even the most experienced public speaker, but Romney maintained his composure, and once the boos subsided, was back on message--unwavering in his commitments to fixing America, including the huge problems that confront African-Americans, such as the 14.2 percent unemployment rate that plagues this community.

Throughout his speech, Romney remained cool and calm. His quiet dignity and respect made the candidate appear “Presidential,” and ready to roll up his sleeves and go to work for all Americans.

The big question: Did Romney win over any hearts and minds that will translate into votes come November?

Probably not, but his quiet dignity should be a strong antidote to Democrat ads which seek to portray him as an elitist white guy interested only in protecting the wealthy.

Clearly, Mitt Romney is a respectful, knowledgeable man who understands economic principles and private enterprise.

Even the most ardent Obama supporter should at least listen to what he has to say!

Breathtaking Hypocrisy: NAACP Requires ID to Hear Eric Holder Speak Against Voter ID!

Hypocrisy, thou be the NAACP!

That was illustrated by NAACP actions surrounding a speech delivered by Eric Holder, America’s in -contempt-of-Congress Attorney General, before the NAACP on Tuesday.

In that speech, Holder defended his aggressive assault against Voter ID laws that require would-be voters to produce identification. Voter ID laws are intended to protect against voter fraud; however, Holder and the NAACP see the laws as racist moves to prevent people-of-color from voting.

As reported at the reference, Holder slammed state laws that would require individuals to present photo identification to vote:

"In our efforts to protect voting rights and to prevent voting fraud, we will be vigilant and strong," Holder said at the NAACP convention in Houston. "But let me be clear: We will not allow political pretexts to disenfranchise American citizens of their most precious right."


He said voter ID laws, such as one proposed in Texas that his Justice Department is fighting, are "harmful to minority voters," who may be unable to travel to or afford to obtain suitable identification.”

However, reporters wishing to attend Holder’s speech in person were told to bring a government-issued photo identification as well as a credential from their organization when checking in to hear Holder’s speech.

Earlier today, Attorney General Eric Holder addressed the NAACP Nation Convention at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas. What did media need in order to attend? That's right, government issued photo identification (and a second form of identification too!), something both Holder and the NAACP stand firmly against when it comes to voting. Holder's DOJ is currently suing Texas for "discriminatory" voter ID laws. From the press release:
All media must present government-issued photo I.D. (such as a driver’s license) as well as valid media credentials. Members of the media must RSVP to receive press credentials at http://action.naacp.org/page/s/registration. For security purposes, media check-in and equipment set up must be completed by 7:45 a.m. CDT for an 8:00 a.m. CDT security sweep. Once the security sweep is completed, additional media equipment will NOT be permitted to enter and swept equipment will NOT be permitted to exit.

Ironically, NAACP President Ben Jealous railed against voter ID just before Holder took the stage.


The head of the NAACP on Monday likened the group's fight against conservative-backed voter ID laws that have been passed in several states to the great civil rights battles of the 1960s.
Benjamin Todd Jealous, the CEO and president of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, said these are "Selma and Montgomery times," referring to historic Alabama civil rights confrontations. He challenged those attending the NAACP's annual convention to redouble their efforts to get out the vote in November.”

With Murders Soaring, Windy City Needs Experienced Community Organizer!

The soaring rate of murders in Chicago is proving too onerous for Da Mayor, the –less- than- honorable, Rahm Emanuel.

As reported at the reference, Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel has failed to bring the spirit of Hope and Change with him from the White House:

“CHICAGO (AP) — Chicago's mayor and police superintendent publicly defended their new gang-fighting strategy Monday amid growing criticism that the changes are failing and a big reason why the city's homicide rate has soared this year.

After weeks of media reports about Chicago homicides — which so far are up nearly 38 percent from last year — Mayor Rahm Emanuel and Police Superintendent Garry McCarthy defiantly said during a news conference that the gang strategies in place before McCarthy arrived were the ones that failed, not the new ones.”

Clearly, Emanuel has learned a vital lesson from Obama: Blame all that is untoward on the previous administration!

Da Mayor clearly needs a community organizer with experience to step in and take back the streets and alleys of Chicago.

By coincidence, one of the most experienced and storied community organizers in the world will be on the hunt for employment starting November 7.

His name is Barack Obama and with his background in Democrat politics, he would be perfectly qualified to deal with murderers, gangsters, and other thugs. And he is good at basketball.

Latest Crock from Chris Rock: Independence Day Is “White Peoples Day”

Happy Independence Day to ALL!

How is it that millions of people from around the globe are so desperate to get into America to partake of our bountiful liberty and opportunities, that many will risk life and limb just to get in, even unlawfully, while some native-born American residents whom have attained tremendous fame and fortune see nothing but evil and racism in all that is US culture and history?

Indeed, why would any person of color come here willingly given the anti-American propaganda proliferated by people like black comedian Chris Rock?

Yet, come they do, by the millions.

Rock is a perfect example of ungrateful hypocrisy on steroids: He reportedly has a dowry of approximately $70 million dollars, yet he continues to throw hate speech bombs at America and our founding fathers, while also ridiculing white people in general.

Rock has discovered one of the many secrets to wealth in America: Hate speech, steeped in racism sells!  

Provided one caters to malcontent haters, that is.

The latest crock from Rock as reported at Reference 1:

The White People's Day Twitter message from Chris Rock on July 4 has fueled a hot debate on Independence Day, slavery and racism. While many are outraged at the Fourth of July tweet, the stand-up comic is getting support from bloggers and media sources.

In an ABC News report Friday, the outlet suggested that Rock's tweet went up in flames faster than the San Diego botched fireworks show.

"Happy white peoples independence day the slaves weren't free but I’m sure they enjoyed fireworks."

Rock took to Twitter and lightheartedly called Independence Day a holiday for white people.”

Folks like Chris Rock refuse to look beyond the tragic early chapters in American history, while bitterly refusing to acknowledge that the principles set forth by the white founders established the framework for rectifying inhumane practices like slavery, which was abolished by a white president in 1863.

Does the Emancipation Proclamation ring a bell, Chris?

Again, that document was crafted by white people for the benefit of African-Americans.

But perhaps it is more profitable to dwell on slavery and other discrimination suffered by blacks?

Consider this: Where else but in America would a nation fight a civil war to eradicate evil imposed on a powerless and penniless minority? And elect a member of that minority as President of the US?

Which is not to discount the misery and humiliation that slavery brought to African-Americans.

It is to say that people like Chris Rock owe the Founding Fathers an expression of gratitude for the prosperity with which they are blessed.

Especially on Independence Day.

Time to knock that chip off your shoulder and join in the celebration of the greatest nation in human history, Chris!

In other words, Chris, although you are not white you have much to be grateful for on Independence Day, and are most welcome to join in the celebrations!

Simply  stated: Happy Independence Day, Chris Rock!

Obama Reaction to Dismal Jobs Report: “Step in the Right Direction”

Out of Touch Elitist!

As the pressures of the presidential election campaign grow more and more intense, President Obama has crafted a means for shielding himself from bad news of the type which might reflect on his performance:

It’s called denial.

For instance, the June employment numbers show that the US economy added only 80,000 new jobs, while the unemployment rate persisted at 8.2%.

Most people blessed with “genius” intelligence, as Obama allegedly is, would conclude that the June report reflects very bad news about the economy and the lack of positive momentum on the jobs front.

However, America’s genius -in –chief somehow saw good news in the reports.

As reported at the reference, Obama said the following:

President Obama, at his second campaign stop Friday following a dismal June jobs report, dropped a line from his speech in which he cited the faint job growth as a "step in the right direction."

The president had taken heat for the comment from both the Mitt Romney campaign and Republican National Committee.

"Seriously?" Romney spokeswoman Andrea Saul said in an email earlier that drew attention to the remark. She noted the 80,000 jobs recorded in June are far below the 130,000 to 150,000 it takes to keep pace with population growth.

This “step in the right direction” faux pas comes on the heels of Obama’s “the private sector is fine” boo-boo after the May report was issued.

Good grief, Mr. President, 23 million Americans are unemployed or under employed and adding 80,000 jobs is a step in the right direction?

Direction to what, sir? The fate of Greece? Spain? Italy?

With nonsensical public remarks like these, Obama is giving credence to those who claim he is an out-of-touch elitist who is in severe denial, and incapable of tending to the economy.

In Obama’s mind, there is NO problem. Rather, the angst and fear are products of right-wing extremists who are distorting the facts in order to harm Obama.

Sorry sir, but there are 23 million Americans whose lives are on hold while you deny the truth.

Some of those 23 million will vote in November. Many will vote to replace our out-of-touch elitist with a man whose business credential are “sterling,” according to another well-known Democrat.

Perhaps the gut-wrenching reality of unemployment will finally make it to Obama’s consciousness on November 7, the day after Mitt Romney is elected US president 45?
