A little more than three years ago, Senator Harry Reid (D-Nevada) made headlines with the following paraphrased statement:
I believe myself that the secretary of state, secretary of defense know this war is lost and the surge is not accomplishing anything.
Reid’s comments were delivered just as 30,000 fresh American troops were headed to Iraq as part of the “Surge.” Imagine how those young men and women reacted upon learning that their lives were being put on line for a war that the Senate Majority leader declared to be lost.
Now, just six months before the mid-term elections, Senator Reid’s re-election prospects appear doomed.

“CARSON CITY -- Nearly half of Nevadans have had enough of Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid as the powerful Democrat heads into his re-election campaign, a new Las Vegas Review-Journal poll finds.
About a third of the state's voters would re-elect Reid if the 2010 election were held today, according to the poll, but 45 percent say they would definitely vote to replace him. Seventeen percent would consider another candidate.
The findings are echoed by another poll question about Reid's popularity that finds the four-term incumbent to be a polarizing figure in his home state.”
Given these polling results, the following message appears most appropriate for Mr. Reid: Harry Reid, the war (Your Re-election) Is Lost!

Latino Citizens Can Help Make Laws Like SB1070 Unnecessary

With so many Hispanic citizens in a state of befuddlement over Arizona’s SB 1070, isn’t it time to demand that this demographic get serious in battling illegal immigration, regardless of the racial make-up of the aliens?
Everyone knows that the overwhelming majority of illegal aliens in the United States is Hispanic.
Given the fact that illegal immigration is a major problem to the economic, social, and cultural well being of America, besides being a chink in homeland security armor, why in the hell are so many American citizens named Rodriquez, Garcia, Chavez, and the like so reticent about speaking out against illegal aliens?
Why is La Reza not organizing million-senor marches through downtown Los Angeles to demand that the borders be sealed off and those here illegally be deported?
What if the illegal population was overwhelmingly Chinese? Would La Reza and the Hispanic community be advocating on behalf of invaders if said aliens spoke Mandarin Chinese rather than Spanish?
What if workers from China were to invade America and be willing to pick fruit and cut lawns for a small percentage of the wage demanded by Latino illegal aliens, thereby replacing Latino aliens as the source for cheap labor?
Would Hispanics oppose SB 1070 if Arizona’s illegal alien population was mostly Chinese?
The point is that illegal immigration is wrong and harmful when committed by Hispanics or any other ethnic group. It is also true that when a particular racial group dominates the illegal alien crowd as Hispanics do in America, racial profiling is not only an acceptable government response, but absolutely mandatory in order to protect the rights and lives of all citizens!
Worried about being targeted in Arizona just because you are Hispanic?
Then get off your tush and join the rest of America in the effort to prevent and reverse the dreaded curse of illegal immigration.
When you spot an illegal alien, call ICE and report the invader. Write your elected officials and demand enforcement of our borders and laws.
Or are you one who believes that illegal immigration is not a problem if the invader happens to be Latino?
More Government Incompetence: 71 Million Doses of Flu Vaccine

The Obama Administration has an almost perfect record when it comes to costly incompetence.
From the hideous bungling of the Gulf oil crisis, to the trillion dollar stimulus that stimulated nothing, to the Marxist scheme to destroy the world’s finest health care system for just a few trillion dollars, to the abandonment of American borders and citizens in favor of pandering to invading criminals, to the closure of GITMO and trial of blood thirsty terrorists in NYC, to the spending of America into a third-world, deficit-blasted failed state, to the “cash for clunkers fiasco,” this administration has made the case for less government in terms more eloquent and convincing than any argument ever advanced by conservatives.
Adding to the “less is better” argument when it concerns government run by liberals is news that the government may have to throw out 71 million does of flu vaccine.
How’s that for intelligent planning and management?
This from the people who want to vest absolute control over 17 percent of the American economy in the hands of clueless bureaucrats!

“WASHINGTON, May 3 (Reuters) - The United States still has 71 million doses of H1N1 swine flu vaccine that have not been used, but it is not yet time to throw them out, the federal government said on Monday.
“States and other providers should hang on to the vaccine and continue to offer them to people until drug companies can start distributing seasonal vaccine for the coming influenza season in the autumn, said Health and Human Services Department spokesman Bill Hall.
“Senator Chuck Grassley, the ranking Republican on the Senate Finance committee, released a letter on Monday that he sent to HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius asking her how much vaccine was left over and when it would expire.
“H1N1 swine flu is still technically causing a pandemic and health officials say anyone who has not been vaccinated should still try, in case it causes a third wave of serious disease.”
How much more incompetence will the American people tolerate from this inept administration?

Sheer Coincidence that NYC Bombing Suspect Is Pakistani?

According to the Obama administration’s new rules for not fighting terrorism while pretending to be strong on national defense and homeland security, one must never denigrate or impugn the great Muslim faith, otherwise known as the Religion of Peace.
America is NOT at war with Islamofascists, despite the fact that the overwhelming majority of recent terrorist incidents around the world have been attempted and or executed by practicing Muslims.
To be politically correct (insane?), one must never think or speak ill of the great religion, which has gifted the world with Al-Quaeda, the Taliban, Osama bin Laden, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the late Saddam Hussein, Mohamed Atta and 18 fellow Saudi Arabians responsible for 9/11, Shaira law, the practice of stoning women guilty of immodesty to death while half-buried in a ditch, and lord knows how many hundreds of millions of whack jobs who preach on behalf of Allah with axes, IEDs, and children brainwashed into believing that blowing up one’s outer child in order to annihilate a few Jews is a spiritual calling of the highest order.
Rather than fighting those who would slice your throat ear-to-ear for displaying that Christian artifact in public, we, the infidels, should be finding ways of forming entrepreneurial partnerships with Muslim nations.
At least that is how Barack Hussein Obama sees it.
That being the case, it must be sheer coincidence that Nigerian Farouk Abdulmutallab was the would-be terrorist over Detroit on Christmas Day and that Faisal Shahzad, a Pakistani, has been arrested as a suspect in the New York City bombing.
As reported, in part, in the media:
“NEW YORK – A Pakistani man believed to be the driver of an SUV used as a car bomb in a failed terror attack on Times Square was taken into custody early Tuesday by federal and local police officials while trying to leave the country, a law enforcement official said.
“The suspect, Faisal Shahzad, was identified by customs agents at John F. Kennedy International Airport and was stopped, according to officials who spoke to The Associated Press early Tuesday on the condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the investigation. He had recently returned from a five-month trip to Pakistan, where he had a wife, but was not apparently headed back there, the officials said.”
At what point is our president obligated to give up romantic fantasies about the religion of his father and instead comply with his constitutional responsibility to protect and defend the American people.
Will it take another 9/11 to bring this naive and clueless community organizer down to earth?

According to reports, only 50,000 illegal aliens took to the streets in Los Angeles to ring in May Day this weekend.
Just 50,000? This was supposed to be “THE” big weekend for illegal aliens to march and demand.
50,000? Good heavens, there were more invaders than that at emergency rooms in LA hospitals!
San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom has more than 50,000 illegal aliens on the city payroll at City Hall for goodness sake!
And Mayor Newsom married more than 50,000 gay illegal aliens on the steps of City Hall in 2004, for gosh sake.
On any given afternoon, there are more than 50,000 drunken illegal aliens drag racing through downtown Los Angeles, for Pedro's sake.
Meanwhile, Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villagarosa was very upset by the low turnout and demanded a federal investigation.
The rankled mayor said, "I want to run for governor of California some day, but I will need a lot more support from the illegal alien community. This smells like a poll tax or other voter suppression tactic used by unsavory southerners."
"I want the federal government to answer some basic questions. Why were the six million known illegal aliens in Los Angeles not on the streets on May Day?
“Did the unconstitutional and Nazi-like SB 1070 law in Arizona intimidate Latinos and deprive them of their 1st Amendment rights?"
"I will not tolerate disenfranchisement of Latinos just because they are here illegally and are not eligible to vote.
Asked at White House press conference to comment on the low turnout, President Obama tried to reassure Mayor Villagarosa by saying, "Well, Antonio has got to learn patience when dealing with edgy illegal aliens. After years of dealing with these folks, I know that they are moody and tough to predict.
"But in the end, hand out the goodies and benefits, and they will come. And do it often enough, and they will vote!"
