"Citizen of the World" Learns that Foreign Leaders Often Hostile to American Interests

From his naive and inexperienced frame of reference, President Obama has operated under the delusion that simply "playing nice" with foreign leaders and declaring himself a citizen of the world could smooth out the messes left by former President George W. Bush.

Like other wrong-minded leftists, Obama has been loath to admit the fact that the world is a highly competitive and dangerous place where U.S. interests must be protected with all of the "USA First!" fervor and gusto that a president can muster.

Simply put, foreign leaders could care less about what is best for America, except when their own interests are directly involved.

Obama has a couple of recent examples that should serve as educational tools.

The first involves the so-called economic stimulus package which included a "Buy American!" theme.

As reported, in part, by Timesonline.com, European Union leaders were not amused:

"The European Union warned the US yesterday against plunging the world into depression by adopting a planned “Buy American” policy, intensifying fears of a trade war.

"The EU threatened to retaliate if the US Congress went ahead with sweeping measures in its $800 billion (£554 billion) stimulus plan to restrict spending to American goods and services.

Obama's second brush with reality came from India where the Indian government has, in essence, told Obama to butt out in the ongoing dispute between India and Pakistan over Kashmir.

As reported, in part, at Financial Times.com:

"India has warned US President Barack Obama that he risks “barking up the wrong tree” if he seeks to broker a settlement between Pakistan and India over the disputed territory of Kashmir.

"MK Narayanan, India’s national security advisor, said that the new US administration was in danger of dredging up out of date Clinton administration-era strategies in a bid to bring about improved ties between the two nuclear armed neighbours.

“I do think that we could make President Obama understand, if he does nurse any such view, that he is barking up the wrong tree. I think Kashmir today has become one of the quieter and safer places in this part of the world,” Mr Narayanan said in an interview with CNBC TV18. "

What in the world is wrong with these foreigners? Are they unaware of the fact that Barack Obama was officially deified as the world's messiah on January 20?

Speaking of Irresponsibility & Shame: What About Billions Wasted on Illegal Aliens?

President Obama, already showing signs of physical and mental fatigue after just 10 days in office, excused himself from the Oval Office game of power Monopoly long enough to zing the same crooks and vultures most likely to benefit from the latest bail out scheme being crafted by his economic professors.

As reported in the Wall Street Journal, reference 1, in part:

"President Barack Obama stepped up his rhetorical attacks Thursday on the same banks his officials are planning to aid. Summoning reporters after a closed meeting with Mr. Geithner, Mr. Obama blasted earlier news that Wall Street had paid out $18.4 billion in bonuses, calling it 'the height of irresponsibility' and 'shameful.'

"There will be time for them to make profits, and there will be time for them to get bonuses," he said. "Now is not that time."

Wonder how many of those Wall Street thugs standing on the White House lawn with tin cups in their hands realize that those billions from Treasury come with the following socialist hook:

Wall Street surrenders its financial sovereignty and will engage in the obscene business of "making profits and getting bonuses" only when President Obama says it is "time" to do so?

Still, it is inspiring to learn that our newly installed president is interested in combating irresponsibility and shame. Lord knows there is an abundance of both throughout Washington, D.C., particularly among politicians with the D brand next to their names.

In fact, one really on the prowl for irresponsibility and shame would find a veritable gold mine in the Democrat position on illegal aliens.

Illegal aliens cost American taxpayers nearly $100 billion dollars every year for education, health care, welfare assistance and other public services to which they are not entitled.

Liberals constantly lament overcrowded classrooms, soaring health care costs, and other economic conditions that afflict the middle class. All of those problems are exacerbated by the presence of millions of invading criminals who have no legal or moral basis for being here.

Want to reduce school room class sizes,health care costs, and crime, ease state budget crises, and make the American Dream once again attainable by American citizens, Mr. President?

Then order Homeland Security and or the Defense Department to secure our borders with Mexico and begin the process of deporting the millions of invading criminals already here.

At a time when the American people are confronted by the worse economic crisis since the Great Depression, wasting hundreds of billions of dollars on illegal aliens is indeed "shameful and the height of irresponsibility!"

Time to Drop MLK Birthday As Holiday

For years, the holiday set aside to celebrate the birthday of Martin Luther King was justified as being necessary to atone for slavery and discrimination, and to recognize the many contributions made by African-Americans to American culture and society.

America does not celebrate the birthday of any other individual as a separate holiday. Presidents, past and present, are celebrated collectively on President's Day each February.

When Barack Obama is sworn in as America's 44th President, he will be celebrated, along with the 43 former presidents, each February.

Thus, Martin Luther King Day will be superfluous to the need for a day to honor black Americans.

Eliminating one costly federal holiday may be the most productive CHANGE that Barack Obama can bring to America!

Dishonoring the Memory of John Fitzgerald Kennedy

On January 20, 1961, John Fitzgerald delivered an eloquent, hopeful, and pro-American inaugural address to the nation and the world. See Reference 1 for the complete text.

Among other things, the brilliant new leader issued the following challenge to the world:

"Let the word go forth from this time and place, to friend and foe alike, that the torch has been passed to a new generation of Americans--born in this century, tempered by war, disciplined by a hard and bitter peace, proud of our ancient heritage--and unwilling to witness or permit the slow undoing of those human rights to which this nation has always been committed, and to which we are committed today at home and around the world.

"Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe to assure the survival and the success of liberty."

Forty eight years later, America is set to "pass the torch" to a non-citizen Marxist who parlayed $750 million dollars, massive voter fraud, and " Play pay for politics" into an amazing hijacking of the US Presidency.

An appropriate speech to replace American patriotism and pride with Obama-mania would read as follows:

"Let the word go forth from this time and place, to friends, and especially to foes, that the torch has been passed to a generation of Americans who fervently hate this nation and who believe that every wrong in the world can be traced back to American policy and actions.

"This generation, ashamed of wars fought to defend America from destruction at the hands of evil terrorists, embarrassed by our ancient heritage, has elected a non-citizen Marxist to the presidency, a man unwilling to fight the slow undoing of the human rights to which this nation has always been committed.

"Let every nation know, that we shall pay no price, bear no burden, meet no hardship, support no friend, oppose no foe to assure the survival and the success of liberty if said actions would be offend any nation, whether it wishes us well or ill.

"This generation has elected a president who understands that being a compliant "citizen of the world" is far more important than preserving American liberty, culture and heritage, and influence throughout the world."

In that same speech on January 1961, JFK uttered this famous line:

"And so, my fellow Americans: ask not what your country can do for you - ask what you can do for your country."

To accommodate Obama-mania, those words would need to be changed to say:

"And so my fellow citizens of the world living here in America: Ask not what you can for your country-ask what big government can do for you.

"From paying that mortgage that you could not afford to begin with; to taking care of all of your health care needs through socialized, and inferior, medicine; to spreading the wealth from the ambitious and successful to the lazy and failed; to assuring that extreme opinions expressed in the name of free speech are appropriately balanced with progressive ideals through adoption of a "fairness doctrine;" to slashing hundreds of billions of dollars wasted on homeland security and defense and using those funds to assist and support needy illegal aliens and other minorities; to easing enforcement of the "rule of law" to overcome America's obsession with borders and illegal immigration; to recognizing that the United States Constitution is more than 230 years old, and as such, must be regarded as a "living" document, subject to contemporary values and moral, especially in this era of CHANGE; to assuring that old-fashioned values concerning homosexuality, marriage, and abortions must be vacated to assure maximum diversity and tolerance, to protecting average Americans from the ravages of corrupt greed and capitalism:

"Never forget, we are here to take care of you and your family from cradle to grave!"

JFK must be rolling over in his grave!

Hugo Chavez: A Real Gas (Tear) When It Comes to Free Speech!

To Americans, except for mindless liberals hypnotized by the alluring scent of Marxism, Hugo Chavez is a brutal, tinhorn dictator whose final destiny should parallel that of Iraq's Saddam Hussein.

The only problem is finding rope of sufficient strength to hold up under the bloat of Venezuelan's chunky brown giant until his commie frame is relieved of 70 pounds of disgusting fat, his butt -ugly head!

As reported by Reuters in Reference (1), Chavez has decided to deal with political dissension in the only way a none-too-bright dictator thug knows how: Break out the tear gas!


From the referenced report, in part:

"CARACAS, Jan 17 (Reuters) - Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez ordered police on Saturday to use tear gas on anti-government protests that block roads, heating up a campaign for a referendum that could allow him to run for re-election.

"Venezuelans will vote next month on a proposed change to the constitution that would allow Chavez, a foe of the United States, to seek re-election when his term ends in four years.

"In 2007, voters rejected a package of political reforms that would have allowed him to run again for the top office.

"Small groups of students in gas masks and wielding plastic shields protested the proposal this week. They threw stones at police, blocked a highway and were accused of setting fire to a national park. Chavez said police on his orders used tear gas to disperse the protest.

"Chavez said the protest was part of a U.S.-backed plan to destabilize the oil-exporting nation ahead of the referendum."

And so it goes. The despicable dictator attempts to blame America, the most free and humane society in history, for his inability to govern.
