Just Who in Tarnation Is U.S. District Judge Virginia Phillips?

To begin with, she was appointed to the bench by Bill Clinton. Even worse, she received her law degree from UC-Berkeley.

Ms. Phillips’ put her leftist credentials to full use when she opted to unilaterally shut down the “Don’t ask, don’t tell” policy of the Congress and the military with respect to gays in the military.

As reported, in part, at CNN:

“A federal judge on Tuesday ordered the U.S. military to stop enforcing the "don't ask, don't tell" policy, effectively ending the ban on openly gay troops.

U.S. District Judge Virginia Phillips' permanent injunction orders the military "immediately to suspend and discontinue any investigation, or discharge, separation, or other proceeding, that may have been commenced" under the "don't ask, don't tell" policy.

The military was sued by Log Cabin Republicans, a gay rights group.

Justice Department spokesperson Tracy Shmaler would only say the department is "reviewing the ruling." The department has 60 days to appeal, but is not required to do so.”

Do NOT hold your breath waiting for the Obama administration to appeal this judicial malpractice.

Phillips’ ruling allows Obama and his Marxist pals to hide behind the seedy black robe of a misguided lefty who clearly does not give a tinker’s dam about the overwhelming majority (95 percent) of those serving in the military, namely straight men and women.

Phillips seems just as cavalier and unconcerned about national defense and security, which is what the military is supposed to be all about.

Although it is probably politically incorrect to ask about Phillips’ background, she should be required to demonstrate a fundamental understanding of what it means to be a straight soldier in harms’ way.

This decision must be appealed all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court where conservative values will prevail.

President Obama Suddenly Concerned About Foreign Influence?

In his non-stop assault on the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, President Obama is breaking new ground in terms of blistering hypocrisy and truth avoidance.

As reported, in part, by the Latimes.com:

Some Democrats on Capitol Hill worry that the White House is going too far in charging that the politically powerful business lobby may be using foreign money to fuel its election efforts. The charge ignites strong feelings among job-hungry voters. But Democrats are concerned that it may be overstated and could harm moderate Democrats in swing districts.

The Chamber of Commerce is on track to spend $75 million in this election cycle, mostly to benefit Republican candidates. Officials of the organization, while refusing to provide internal accounting details, have said that no foreign money is used in its political activities.

The chamber also backs some Democratic candidates for congressional seats, and its local affiliates generally enjoy positive reputations across the country.

On Thursday, Obama said at a rally that "one of the largest groups paying for these ads regularly takes in money from foreign corporations."

"So groups that receive foreign money are spending huge sums to influence American elections," he said.

The White House has acknowledged that there is no specific evidence that foreign organizations have funded ads backed by the chamber.

White House spokesman Josh Earnest said Monday that the president was emphasizing disclosure so Americans could be sure who was funding the campaign. He added that the White House had not "suggested any illegality" in the chamber's activities.

There you go: No specific evidence and no illegality.

Just more smoke and mirrors from the Champion of Bull and Braggadocio, the one and (God (Help Us!) only Barack Hussein Obama.

Still, it is pretty amazing that this failed president would cry FOUL about foreign influence given his legacy.

Remember, it is Barack Obama who:

( )Joined forces with the foreign nation of Mexico and other Latin nations in attacking the sovereign state of Arizona for defending its citizens against foreign invaders;

( )Refused to enforce U.S. borders and immigration laws pertaining to foreign invaders, including voter fraud perpetuated by illegal aliens who vote in U.S. elections;

( )Denied that American exceptionalism exists or that American Democracy and capitalism are the key ingredients in the astounding success of America or that America is better than any foreign nation.

All of which is yet another example of why President Obama must be made as lame as possible for the remainder of his term.

It is up to we the people to take away Obama’s rubber stamp in the U.S. Congress in order to cripple his Marxist presidency.

Vote Republican on November 2.

God Bless Dick Cheney: American Hero and Unabashed Patriot!

After nearly two years under a hostile president who appears hell bent on destroying American values and global preeminence, it is indeed a blessing to hear from an old ally, a hero who believes that being # 1 is nothing to be ashamed of and, is in fact, the way it should be!

The hero is none other than the unflappable and always pro-American Dick Cheney, former Vice-President, who continues to speak truth regardless of whose feathers might be ruffled.

As reported, in part, at Bakersfield.com, Dick Cheney delighted a huge crowd of patriots in Bakersfield, California recently:

Close to 10,000 people crowded into the Bakersfield Business Conference's main tent to see former Vice President Dick Cheney be "interviewed" by Lynne Cheney, his wife of 46 years.

Collecting that many people all under one tent roof is a sight to see, and Mrs. Cheney commented on what a great crowd the conference had brought together.

"It's almost enough to make you want to run for office again," the former vice president quipped. "Almost."

Dick Cheney worked with four of the five Republican presidents following the Eisenhower administration. With that in mind, Mrs. Cheney asked, "So who's your favorite?"

Dick Cheney answered, "I got to work for all those presidents because I never said who was my favorite."

His proudest accomplishment came because of something that didn't happen: The nation did not suffer another devastating terrorist attack in the years following Sept. 11.

His greatest fear? A nuclear weapon in the hands of a terrorist.
"We came to the point that we could no longer treat terrorist attacks as a simple law enforcement problem," he told the appreciative crowd. "They were an act of war."

Cheney’s words are in marked contrast to those of President Obama who spends his time apologizing for American politicians and policies, suing sovereign American states for defending U.S. citizens, and trying to make life as comfortable as possible for terrorists and invading criminals from south of our borders.

Dick Cheney: We miss you and desperately need you and the likes of you in these troubled times!

More Vital to American History: Columbus Day or Birthday of Cesar Chavez?

Racism is such an insidious monster because it can be manifested in unwarranted "pro" sentiments, which are just as toxic as "anti" feelings. In either case, the objective is to elevate one's race above others based solely on race.

Example: Take Blanca Alvarado (please!). This former Santa Clara County Supervisor once thought it made perfect sense to abandon Columbus Day just to make room for the birthday of Cesar Chavez!

Talk about blatant racism! Clearly, this proposal was based on Alvarado's Hispanic racism and her desire to supplant an all-American holiday with a day that would elevate a fellow Hispanic.

Alvarado's assault on Italians and American history was apparently inspired by a comment from fellow nit wit supe Liz Kniss who said, "On this particular coast, it (Columbus Day) doesn't seem to have great relevance."

With all due respect to Alvarado and Kniss, the birthday of Cesar Chavez is irrelevant to most people, excepting those who are able to milk the day for some undeserved, but paid, time off.

In any event, October 11 is still celebrated as Columbus Day in most of America. The post office, banks, and other government offices are mostly closed to honor Christopher Columbus for his wonderful discovery.

For those Hispanics like Blanca Alvarado who feel disenfranchised by Columbus Day, there is some good news.

Most vineyards are OPEN on October 11, and the grapes are ripe for picking or stomping, depending on one's progress in anger management!

Essential American Truths

After watching millions of illegal aliens and advocates protest in the streets of America in recent years, it is clear that many newcomers, including those here legally, need to understand the following essential American truths:

*In 1848, The Treaty of Guadeloupe Hidalgo was ratified by both the U.S. and Mexican Congresses. That Treaty ended any and all claims Mexico had to land now a part of the United States.

* Native American Indians were the original owners of the American southwest. Were there were any valid property rights claims concerning that land, such rights would belong to Native American Indians, not Mexicans.

*America is a sovereign nation, totally independent of Mexico. It has been that way for over 200 years. We intend to keep it that way.

*Brown may be beautiful in Mexico. But in America, we are partial to colors that symbolize freedom under the rule of law. That would be Red, White and Blue.

*In America, Mexico is considered a FOREIGN nation and Spanish is a FOREIGN language.

*America operates according to the rule of law which applies to everyone. This is true whether one is brown, black, yellow, lily-white, red, or an exotic hybrid of lavender and green.

*Being hard-working and good hearted is commendable. But those qualities do NOT entitle anyone to enter America illegally.

*Bilingualism is cool---provided one of the languages is English. Literacy in only Mexican and Spanish is not cool in America.

*Celebrating ones cultural heritage is perfectly fine--as long as it does not interfere with complete and prompt assimilation into American culture.

* Driving while loaded or drunk may be "macho" in Mexico. But in America, driving under the influence is considered stupid and criminal and is not tolerated, regardless of one's country of origin or cultural heritage.

* People here illegally are common criminals, and as such, are most unwelcome. American citizens will fight to have such miscreants deported, regardless of whether or not families are involved. Illegal is illegal, Family or not.

* Demanding that our borders be secured and that the law be enforced is the right of all American citizens; doing so does not make any one a racist or bigot.

*U.S. immigration laws exist to protect American citizens & others here legally, not to facilitate a foreigner’s pursuit of a better life, and

*Those who come to America must adjust to our culture and traditions. We have no obligation or desire to change in deference to foreign newcomers.

Illegal aliens: Take this list with you when you are deported back to Mexico, and share it with other Mexicans considering invading.

Your experience may cause them to reconsider, and that would be a good thing!
