As reported, in part, at the reference, Barack Obama is trying a new strategy in his quest to occupy the White House for another four years:
Washington: US President Barack Obama has said that he is the underdog in the 2012 Presidential elections, even as his job approval among liberals tied its all-time low in a recent poll.
"I don't mind. I used to being an underdog. I think that at the end of the day, though, what people are going to say, who's got a vision for the future that can actually help ordinary families recapture that American dream?" Obama said.
As recently as the week that ended on September 18, only 68 percent of liberals told Gallup they approved of the way Obama was handling his job as President.
The President also admitted that Americans were "not better off" now than they were four years ago.
Obama said he hasn't decided yet what would be his slogan for the 2012 elections. In 2008 polls, it was 'Yes You Can.'
Clearly, Obama has decided to seek the sympathy vote.
He will appeal once again to liberal white guilt with declarations such as, “I am the black man who has fought for the little guy and has been treated like a dog.”
But how in the world can a man who is adored by the mainstream media, has the bully pulpit at his disposal, and who will have one billion to spend, be an underdog?
The answer: Obama’s performance is so dismal and his arrogance so overwhelming, that even the mainstream media and that billion dollar purse cannot sugar-coat the ugly reality.
As for a slogan in 2012, how about: Change? Who needs Change when you already have the best?
