Poi is a Hawaiian word for the primary Polynesian staple food made from the corm of the taro plant (known in Hawaiian as kalo). Poi is produced by mashing the cooked corm (baked or steamed) until it is a highly viscous fluid.
One would expect that a food-conscious health advocate whom has appointed herself Queen of the global war on fighting obesity and poor health would promote poi as the preferred food of choice, especially while in the land of Aloha where this delicacy is abundant.
Actually, delicacy may be a stretch for a “food” that has the taste and substance of spoiled glue. Still, poi is good for you, or so they say.
Poi’s life-saving qualities notwithstanding, First Lady Michelle Obama exposed her preference for steak, commonly known among progressives as unhealthy, fat-laden, possibly unconstitutional, and a proven cause of global warming.
