Solyndra Fiasco Confirms Obama’s Arrogance, Denial, and Blame Bush Cowardice
By John W. Lillpop
The Solyndra scandal seems to embody all of the Obama flaws in one devastating misstep.
From the beginning, the Obama weasels were focused on creating a photo opportunity for the president, rather than in generating jobs for Americans.
So intense was the desire for publicity that several yellow flags and warnings about the Solyndra loan were brushed aside in favor of getting creating sound bites showing the president actively engaged in creating jobs of the “green” sort.
The idea was to show that this president was literate in high-technology and endowed with sufficient business ‘savvy’ to save America from eight years of ruin at the hands of W. Bush.
This while stroking the enviro-freaks in the Democrat base who swoon at the idea of using the sun to bypass fat cat Republicans who own the bloated oil industry.
When the Solyndra fairy-tale blew up, the Obama folks knew exactly what to do: They blamed George W. Bush!
Thus was concluded the cycle of arrogance, denial, and Blame Bush cowardice that has come to symbolize the Obama presidency.

James Carville’s Sage Advise for Obama: PANIC!
By John W. Lillpop
How badly are things going for Barack Obama?
Back in 2009, James Carville, the ‘Ragin’ Cajun’ from Louisiana, boldly predicted that the election of Barack Obama and majority-Democrat bodies in the U.S. House and Senate meant that America was owned and occupied by progressives for at least the next 40 years.
Nearly three years later, with America in shambles and Obama sporting unimaginable disapproval ratings, Carville’s Ragin’ has a new perspective: PANIC!
As reported at the reference, in part, Carville pulled no punches:
“In the last six months it seems people’s perception of our economic woes changed from something akin to a downslope in a roller coaster—with an uptick surely ahead—to a new flat landscape depressed at a lower elevation indefinitely in front of us. There was the nagging sense that this is the “new normal.” Panic started to set in.Great advise James, except you have overlooked one potential action that could save the day for America, if not for our beleaguered and overmatched community organizer:
Panic set in for everyone except the president, it seemed. Obama’s signature cool-headed style in times of economic crisis seems to simply fall short of the sense of urgency people expect. This morning Bill Clinton’s former adviser James Carville has a message for the president: it’s time to panic.
“This may be news to you but this is not going well,” Carville says. “For precedent, see Russian Army 64th division at Stalingrad.”
Suddenly a field of “unelectable” Republicans is starting to seem formidable, if for no other reason that in times like these, voters will go for anything other than the status quo. “What should the White House do now?” he asks. “One word came to mind: Panic.”
And it seems there’s statistical evidence to back up Carville’s sentiment. Politico today reports that recent a poll of voters in Democratic-dominated district in New York City found just 43 percent approval rating on Sept. 9 and 31 percent on Sept. 11. By contrast, the poll found 75% approval for New York’s Democratic governor Andrew Cuomo. “It is not per se a Democratic problem, it’s a problem with this president,” concluded the polling firm Siena Research.
Carville’s advice? Start firing people, and start indicting people.”
That would be RESIGN, Mr. President.
Doing so now would convince historians that you were a genuine patriot concerned mostly about the nation, rather than the arrogant, ill-informed snot that you really are.
Take Joe Biden with you and let John Boehner ascend to your seat in the Oval Office.
Unless Obama resigns, he may be impeached for high crimes and misdemeanors for abuse of power in the war in Libya, the scandals of “Fast and Furious” and Solyndra.
Then there is always the possibility that Ralph Nader will challenge Obama from the left side of insanity.
Any way you look at it, the next 460 days for Obama do not portend good times. Time to pass the torch to real Americans, Mr. President.
Do it for the children.

Why the ‘Delay,’ Mr. President? Does Solyndra Ring a Bell?
By John W. Lillpop
In 2009, newly-installed President Barack Obama warned Congress that passage of his nearly one trillion dollar stimulus bill was urgent, so much so that the normal procedures for prudent review and examination would simply have to be bypassed.
As reported at the reference in part, in February of 2009:
‘President Barack Obama warned today that failure to act on an economic recovery package could plunge the nation into a long-lasting recession that might prove irreversible, a fresh call to a recalcitrant Congress to move quickly.
‘In an op-ed in The Washington Post, the president argued that each day without his stimulus package, now exceeding $900 billion in the Senate, Americans lose more jobs, savings and homes. He painted a bleak picture if lawmakers do nothing.
"This recession might linger for years. Our economy will lose 5 million more jobs. Unemployment will approach double digits. Our nation will sink deeper into a crisis that, at some point, we may not be able to reverse," Obama wrote.”
As a result of Obama’s lack of business acumen in stimulus 1, more than $500 million was loaned to Solyndra, a solar company that is out of business and bankrupt after dumping 1,100 employees on the street.
Obama’s simple-minded bungling will be the subject of a congressional investigation as reported in reference 2:
Why the delay? Its called due diligence and protecting American taxpayers from undue financial risk!
No doubt that concept is foreign to Obama, but one suspects that he is about to experience a ‘learning moment,’ courtesy of Republicans in the U.S House!

White House budget officials raised questions about whether they had "sufficient time" to evaluate a 2009 federal loan guarantee to Solyndra Inc., a solar panel maker that recently filed for bankruptcy protection, congressional investigators said Wednesday in a report.
The report from the House Energy and Commerce Committee's Republican staff quotes excerpts of emails in which officials from the White House Office of Management and Budget, which does due diligence on loan guarantees, appear to be under pressure to approve the guarantee as White House media staff planned an event at the company's headquarters attended by Energy Secretary Steven Chu.
"We have ended up with a situation of having to do rushed approvals on a couple of occasions (and we are worried about Solyndra at the end of the week)," one OMB staffer wrote to Vice President Joe Biden's domestic policy advisor on August 31, 2009, according to the report. "We would prefer to have sufficient time to do our due diligence reviews and have the approval set the date for the announcement rather than the other way around."
Why the delay? Its called due diligence and protecting American taxpayers from undue financial risk!
No doubt that concept is foreign to Obama, but one suspects that he is about to experience a ‘learning moment,’ courtesy of Republicans in the U.S House!

Coddling Illegal Aliens “the American Way,” Governor Perry?
By John W. Lillpop
Governor Rick Perry is an impressive conservative candidate, and on most issues, he would have my vote.
However, I cannot vote for this man because of his despicable record and position with respect to illegal aliens.
During the most recent debate, the Governor made his position very clear as reported at reference one, in part:
Using taxpayer funds to support people who have ignored our borders and immigration laws is the American Way?
Perry’s comment is as wrong-minded and despicable as the anti-rule of law spiel issued by Nancy Pelosi in 2009. As reported at reference 2, Pelosi said, in part:
Nancy Pelosi and Rick Perry: Identical philosophy when it comes to illegal aliens?
The position taken by Perry and Pelosi ignores American sovereignty and the rule of law, and the importance of American values and culture, and ignores the financial impact of illegals.
Illegal aliens cost taxpayers $110 billion a year. Why in the hell are we spending that money on invaders who have no moral or legal right to be here, especially when 14-26 Americans are out of work or are underemployed?
The American people are suffering desperately: Foreclosures, bankruptcies, the federal deficit, and unemployment are out of control and you want to spend money on illegal aliens?
Treating illegal aliens like citizens sends a terrible message to others considering an unlawful migration north: America is not serious about its borders or laws. Go to America for free everything!
A recent census report (see reference 3)revealed these starting details:
The official poverty rate in 2010 was 15.1 percent — up from 14.3 percent in 2009. This was the third consecutive annual increase in the poverty rate. Since 2007, the poverty rate has increased by 2.6 percentage points, from 12.5 percent to 15.1 percent.
In 2010, 46.2 million people were in poverty, up from 43.6 million in 2009—the fourth consecutive annual increase in the number of people in poverty.”
46 million Americans living in poverty, and you think it is OK to spend taxpayer money on illegal aliens?
Have you lost your bearings, Governor?
In my view, you are more akin to Nancy Pelosi than a true conservative.
NO on Perry!

“And the bottom line is, it doesn’t make any difference what the sound of your last name is. That is the American way,” said Perry. “No matter how you got into that state, from the standpoint of your parents brought you there or what have you. And that’s what we’ve done in the state of Texas. And I’m proud that we are having those individuals be contributing members of our society rather than telling them, you go be on the government dole

“The speaker, condemning raids by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents, referred to the immigrants she was addressing as "very, very patriotic."

DNC Chair: New York’s 9th a ‘very difficult District for Democrats’
By John W. Lillpop
On the night after Democrats lost a special election in New York City, Democratic National Committee chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz tried to minimize the impact by throwing a ‘hail Mary’ that would be hilarious were it not so silly.
As reported at the reference, in part:
“Democratic party leaders insisted the loss wasn’t a harbinger of things to come. “It’s a very difficult district for Democrats,” said Democratic National Committee chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz.”
Really?
With all due respect, Ms. Schultz, that seat has been held by Democrats without interruption since 1920! Ninety one bloody years in the la-la world of progressive ideology and denial.
Of course, excepting the 2010 election, that record was compiled before Barack Obama threw Israel under the bus and Anthony Weiner threw his private parts out to the world via Twitter.
Still, Schultz is partially correct:
Going forward, the 9th WILL BE a difficult district for out-of-touch moon bats!
That may well be true all across America as well as this proud and great nation begins to wake up to the fact that the Marxist policies of the Democrat Party as lead by President Obama need to be eradicated.
And one thing more, Ms. Shultz: How Very SWEET it is!

Debbie Wasserman-Schultz: NY-9 is “a very difficult district for Democrats”
Democratic party leaders insisted the loss wasn’t a harbinger of things to come. “It’s a very difficult district for Democrats,” said Democratic National Committee chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz, noting its Democratic margins there tend to be the second lowest of all the districts in New York City.
House Speaker John Boehner (R., Ohio), dismissed that idea.
“This is a very seriously Democrat district,” Mr. Boehner said. “This is not a district that Republicans have any right to believe we could win.”
