Leon Panetta Slips Up—Tells Truth About Why Troops in Iraq!

New Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta committed an error of such huge magnitude that his entire career is now in serious jeopardy.

Breaking with a tradition that has sustained Obama cabinet members for nearly three years, Panetta had the audacity to stray into territory no other Obama minion has dared wander.

His gaffe?

Perhaps unwittingly, but still fatally, Leon Panetta told the truth to American troops in Iraq!

As reported at the reference, in part:

Newly appointed US Defence Secretary Leon Panetta told American troops in Baghdad on Monday that 9/11 was the reason they were in Iraq, before he was quickly corrected by his spokesman.

"The reason you guys are here is because of 9/11. The US got attacked and 3,000 human beings got killed because of Al-Qaeda," Panetta told about 150 soldiers at the Camp Victory US base.

"We've been fighting as a result of that," he said.
The administration of former US President George W. Bush had hastily linked Saddam Hussein, the ousted Iraqi dictator, to the 9/11 attacks.

That was one of the justifications for the 2003 US-led invasion, but the argument has since been widely dismissed.
Doug Wilson, Panetta's spokesman, quickly jumped in after his boss, who just took office on July 1, made the statement.

"I don't think he's getting into the argument of 2002-2003," as the reason for the Iraq invasion, Wilson he told reporters, adding that his boss was "a plain-spoken secretary."

"He has made clear that the major threat to this country is coming from Al-Qaeda and terrorist groups and he has also made clear that wherever we are in the world today, that (Al-Qaeda) is a principle reason for a military presence," Wilson said.

The new defence secretary also committed a faux pas in Afghanistan on Saturday, telling reporters the United States intends to keep 70,000 troops there until 2014.”

People who have been paying attention know that President Obama and hard-core liberals have always claimed that the Iraq war was the “dumb” conflict, precipitated by George W. Bush as a part of his “blood-for-oil” scheme or as payback for Saddam Hussein’s attempt to snuff Bush-41, W.’s daddy.

Rather than a kick in the butt, Panetta deserves a pat on the back for delivering the sort of “Change” that has been missing from the Obama team since January 20, 2009.

Message to Speaker Boehner: Why Settle for “Peas” When Red Meat Is There for the Taking?

Fresh out of brilliant things to say about the debt-limit crisis produced almost exclusively by his party, President Obama resorted to Romper Room rhetoric when he said that he would not accept a smaller, short-term deal, and "We might as well do it now," he said. "Pull off the band aid. Eat our peas."


Band aids and peas? Who writes this stuff for ‘Bama? Didn’t Mr. Rodgers pass on several years ago?

Earlier, Obama reminded Republicans that, “America is not a banana republic.”

Another piece of well-crafted Obama-speak except for the neglected, “Yet. But I am working on it!” which would have put the entire issue in proper perspective.

While Obama wastes valuable time saying silly things in order to avoid facing the facts, all eyes are on the weeping willow of the GOP, that being the venerable John Boehner.

An urgent shout out to the Speaker seems appropriate, that being,” Why settle for peas, John, when red meat is there for the taking?”

Red meat being the extremely vulnerable and weak position that the president finds himself in, a direct result of his lack of leadership and lack of shared interest in the financial well being of America.

Please, John Boehner, remember that you hold the winning hand. No need to concede anything—just get this fellow to take the bait and then reel him in!

And no, this is not a cynical, partisan game. Rather, it is American politics and doing what is best for the republic and 300 million plus Americans!

Forget the peas—go for the red meat!

Why the Exaggerated Hysteria Over Stimulus Dollars Used for ‘Fast and Furious’ Guns?

The news that the Barack Obama-Erick Holder gun-running enterprise hijacked 10 million dollars from the trillion dollar stimulus bill to send AK-47s and other weapons to Mexico should come as no great surprise.

In fact, given the reputation of these two, it’s a wonder that the number is not closer to a cool billion dollars!

Many will gasp in horror at my flippancy and protest, “Those monies were supposed to be used to help the unemployed!”

Yes, that is true, but keep this in perspective, please!

According to Obama’s own bean counters, each job created by the stimulus package cost about $250,000. Which is about four jobs per million.

Another way of looking at it: The $10 million dollars skimmed off the stimulus bill represents just 40 total jobs that were less important to Obama than arming drug cartels in Mexico.

Forty jobs? Hardly worth worrying about—which is why Obama ain’t!

A 21st Century Manifesto: Advancing the Cause of Mexican Illegal Aliens

Thinking like a Mexican governmet official when it comes to illegal immigration to the U.S. requires that one abandon common sense and logic in total.

That reduced mental capacity would lead one to endorse the following 21st Century Manifesto for illegal aliens:

( ) There are NO legitimate borders between Mexico and the United States. In this age of progressive enlightenment, open borders reflects the new age of trust and reciprocity between the nations.

( ) Although there are no borders restricting migration FROM Mexico, prudence demands that the rich cultural heritage of the Mexican people be preserved.

Consequently, borders and border fences in southern Mexico are necessary to maintain our sovereignty and limit the dilution of our unique heritage by foreign interlopers.

( ) Mexico is a free and open society that welcomes diversity: We welcome the use of most dialects of Spanish in government, business, education, and medicine. Because English is the language of white racists, its use in strongly discouraged, especially around young children and the elderly.

( ) Mexican citizens unable to provide the bare necessities of life to their families have a patriotic duty to migrate to the U.S. where free welfare, housing, food, education, health care and other benefits are available.

( ) Legal migration to the United States is far too time-consuming and riddled with bureaucratic red tape for most Mexicans. Much of the paperwork is in English, which unnecessarily complicates legal migration even further.

( ) Given the fact that the U.S. immigration system is hopelessly broken, Mexicans desperately in need of
food, housing, education, and health care are urged (mandated) to sneak across the border and establish residency in one of the many Hispanic-majority cities and Sanctuary Cities that welcome undocumented refugees by the millions.

Mexican government brochures, including detailed maps, names and phone numbers of DNC and ACLU offices, are available for free at any Mexican government office or on-line at mexinvasionofus.gov

( ) Those migrating illegally into America are advised to bring with them at least one late-term pregnant woman currently in, or about to be, in labor.

Upon delivery of a new born on American soil, or reasonably close thereto, the woman should immediately register the child as a U.S. citizen which will indemnify the entire family from deportation, and will open the door for other family members left in Mexico to migrate north.


( ) Mexicans planning to migrate illegally to United States are reminded that the U.S. is a racist, terrorist state that abuses minorities, especially brown people, with reckless abandon. When in danger, always find a local office of the Democrat Party or an ACLU office for help.

Do NOT seek help from the local police, most of whom are red-neck Tea Party bozos who foolishly believe that Arizona, Texas, California, and New Mexico are a part of the U.S. rather than Mexico.

( ) The Mexican government aggressively defends our citizens against abuse at the hands of racist, right-wing extremists. This effort is very expensive; thus, we encourage all patriotic Mexicans to send as much money back home as possible. Because most undocumented Mexicans will pay no taxes on their income, those savings should be the minimal amount sent home.

And there you have it: A 21st Century Manifesto for Illegal Aliens in Mexico but headed north!

Boehner Boner on Debt-Ceiling Battle

Speaker Boehner’s apparent retreat from the fiscal revolution to save America is, in and of itself, a despicable cave-in to the Snake Brigade on the left, those anti-American, elitist intellectuals who do not give a tinker’s dam about anything but being re-elected in 2012.

The Snake Brigade includes the president and his Marxist minions in Congress, as well as the mainstream media.

Boehner’s boner is already being parlayed into political hay by the left as noted at the reference, in part:

Boehner "couldn't do revenues from wealthiest Americans," a White House official said.

House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) all but extinguished hopes for a big deficit reduction deal because he refused to support any tax increases for the wealthiest Americans, a senior administration official said Saturday night.

The White House official also disputed the charge that President Obama was not willing to give ground on entitlement programs, saying that is "not true."

"[Boehner] couldn't do revenues from wealthiest Americans, he walked away over that," the official said. "They are telling people we couldn't do entitlements, not true."

There you go, Mr. Speaker: According to the “good faith” people in the White House, the Republican Party is so obsessed with protecting the rich that the desperately needed entitlement reform was sacrificed just to make sure that the wealthy are not forced to share in the sacrifice needed to save our beloved nation.

Lesson learned: When playing with snakes, regardless of how wrapped in “good faith” they may seem, one does risk being bitten!
