Will Tough New Gun Laws Prevent Obama from ‘Taking Guns to Knife Fight?’

As Barack Obama and liberals celebrate the  Sandy Hook school massacre as a golden opportunity to rescind the 2nd Amendment and disarm Republicans, one must wonder how The One really feels about the use of weapons in order to level the playing field when it comes to political wars?

After all, as reported at the Reference, as recently as 2011 Obama seemed keen to the notion of using guns in order to prevail over knife-wielding Republicans:

Obama said,  "If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun," "Because from what I understand folks in Philly like a good brawl.”

Liberals will argue that Obama was only speaking metaphorically to make a point.  Still, Obama's smoldering   hatred and obsession with revenge should concern anyone who values the 2nd Amendment and the US Constitution.

Remember, too, that the Obama administration shipped deadly weapons to Mexico as part of the dim-witted Fast and Furious scandal which cost US Border Control agent Brian Terry his life AND resulted in the deaths of a number of innocent Mexican citizens as well.

Recall also that the Fast and Furious illegalities were, and continue to be, covered up by Obama’s tyrannical use of Executive Privilege to keep Congress from learning the truth.

Clearly, Obama’s words and actions do not reflect a responsible or mature attitude toward the rule of law or the protection of innocent people against government abuse!

Why should the American people accept the trashing of a Constitutional freedom by an administration that has shown that it is more than willing to play deadly political games with weapons, and to misuse Executive Privilege to obscure the facts?

Mitch McConnell’s ‘No New Taxes’ Pledge: Breath of Fresh Air, or More Hot Air?

American stalwarts in the war against reckless spending funded by tyrannical tax policies must not forget that in 1988 Presidential candidate George H.W. Bush won election based largely on the now infamous line he delivered at the Republican convention.

His “Read My Lips—No New Taxes” throwing down of the fiscal gauntlet led to his victory that year.

Unfortunately, Bush-41 reneged on that promise, which led to his unsuccessful reelection bid in 1992. Bush’s defeat left America with a perjurer and obstructer of justice in the Oval Office; a nasty scenario made all of the worse when President Bill Clinton converted the Oval Office into a pleasure palace for sexual dalliances with consenting, and non-consenting, women alike.
Twenty years later, America is still burdened with the excesses of tax and spend liberals, AND with weak-kneed Republicans who promise to save America from the sort of financial anarchy that is destroying Greece and other socialist states in Europe.

In 2010, the American people voted for fiscal austerity by kicking Nancy Pelosi and her spending disorder out of the US House, and by installing a contingent of Tea Party patriots who were committed to cutting taxes, spending, and the burgeoning growth of government under Marxist Barack Obama.

Alas, two years later, Congress has agreed to increase taxes and spending AGAIN, notwithstanding the results of the 2010 elections.

And now, as predictable as hot weather in July, Americans are being serenaded by Mitch McConnell, Minority leader of the US Senate with a firm, no nonsense rant declaring that new taxes are “off the table.”

As reported at reference 1, McConnell sounds mad as hell:

With looming deadlines on the nation’s federal borrowing limit and delayed across-the-board budget cuts, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) said Sunday that discussions about new taxes are off the table in upcoming fiscal debate, and that reining in government spending must be the focal point.

“Are you saying that any discussion of revenue is completely off the table going forward? You will not accept any new revenues in any new deal?” asked ABC News’s George Stephanopoulos on his program, “This Week.”
“Yeah, absolutely,” McConnell said. “ The tax issue is behind us. Now, the question is what are we going to do about the real problem. … Now it’s time to pivot and turn to the real issue, which is our spending addiction.”

Now where in the heck have we heard that before, Mitch?

Are you serious this time? Do you pledge to keep your word and not slither behind closed doors to make some under- the -table deal with Veep Joe Biden?

Incidentally, America’s fiscal woes are compounded by the fact that Barack Obama does not believe America has a spending problem, and Joe Biden thinks paying higher taxes is the patriotic thing to do!

Excuse the skepticism, but with the Obama-Biden team running the Executive Branch and with John Boehner and Mitch McConnell leading Congressional opposition, there is scant little hope for our beloved America!

Obama’s “Fairness” Canard

When objective, reasoned thought will not support one of his radical Marxist schemes, Barack Obama is not the least bit hesitant about reaching deep into his bag of dirty tricks to retrieve an appropriate subterfuge that will divide Americans and advance his agenda.

In the 2012 election, Obama played the “class warfare card” masterfully, using “wealth profiling” to portray Republicans as the party which represents the rich and powerful, maggots who seek to enrich themselves at the expense of the vanquished working poor and their children.

According to Barack, it’s all about “fairness,” the progressive definition of which is “You have more than me, and so the only fair thing to do is to have government take from you and give to me!”

Ability, effort, resolve, and determination notwithstanding, fairness demands that the government discriminate against the successful and prosperous in favor of the less talented, less driven, and less creative.

Absent from this sanctimonious double talk is any discussion of why folks who already pay a huge percentage of the total taxes collected by the government should be forced to pay even more, simply because they have it.

Where is the fairness in that, Mr. President?

Conversely, why do those who benefit the most from government welfare programs pay little or no taxes?

Fairness, indeed!

Obama’s latest Marxist ploy involves the heady subject of immigration reform, which Obama and the left promotes as a basic question of --fairness.

According to Obama, 20 million or so illegal aliens who have invaded America in defiance of our borders and immigration laws deserve amnesty and should be allowed to join society as though they had been subjected to the rigorous financial, criminal, and medical background checks which legal immigrants are required to pass.

Where is the fairness for millions of would-be immigrants who are forced to wait their turn in line, rather than stealing their way in?

Why are those who abide by the law and play by the rules rejected in favor of those who break and enter?

Fairness? Phooey!

Mexico, Mecca for Violent Drug Cartels, Declares War on Toy Guns!

More than 30 thousand Mexicans have been murdered over the past three years by the drug cartels who really run this corrupt failed state!

So it stands to reason that Mexican officials would destroy thousands of “Toy” guns in their campaign against gun violence!

It’s the same sort of nonsensical illogic that caused President Obama to tackle the federal debt by signing a bill which increases the debt!

Mexico’s gun insanity is as reported at the reference:

MEXICO (AP) -- Mexico City authorities say they have destroyed thousands of toy guns in an effort to fight real crimes committed with fake weapons.

Mayor Miguel Angel Mancera said Friday that officials believe that at least three of every 10 violent crimes in Mexico City is committed with a realistic toy gun.

The guns were confiscated from shops in Mexico City and the surrounding state of Mexico. Mexico bans virtually all civilian gun ownership and requires that toy weapons be made of transparent or brightly colored plastic. Sunday is Three Kings Day, when Mexican children receive the largest number of holiday gifts.

Official statistics show that there were 82,117 robberies and 1,349 homicides in Mexico City in the first 11 months of 2012.”

1,349 homicides in 11 months and da mayor is worried about toy guns?

Obama Pitches $4 Trillion Deficit Increase As Reduction!

Thought the exaggerations, misleading statements, and outright lies from the 2012 presidential campaign were put in moth balls until 2016, did you?

Silly, you!

Remember, patriots, we are dealing with Barack Obama, the quintessential liar in American politics and the only president in US history to be addicted to campaign lying even when an election is not nigh.

A classic example of Obama truth-aversion was rolled out on January 2 when Obama hurriedly issued a Victory Message to celebrate passage of the fiscal cliff bill.

Remember, your president actually stated, We stopped that middle class tax hike. But we didn’t stop there. …Last year we started reducing the deficit through $1 trillion in spending cuts. And the agreement we reached this week will reduce the deficit even more by asking the wealthiest two percent of Americans to pay higher taxes for the first time in two decades.”

Unfortunately for those already working on the Obama Library, the Congressional Budget Office had quite a different take on the matter: CBO, in fact, stated that the bill would add nearly $4 trillion to the deficit over 10 years.

As reported at the reference:

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The Congressional Budget Office on Tuesday said Senate-passed legislation to avert the "fiscal cliff" would add nearly $4 trillion to federal deficits over a decade, largely because it would extend low tax rates for almost all Americans.

The congressional scorekeeper's analysis was released as a number of Republicans in the House of Representatives voiced opposition to the bill, and considered amending it with deeper spending cuts.”

Get that? The bill that Obama is so fond of will INCREASE the deficit by 4T!

 With the national debt at $16.4 trillion, the president is spinning a 4T increase as a reduction and is even gloating about his cleverness in doing so!
